I hope you enjoyed watching me killing a speaker…😂. Now you can be more relaxed, as you’ve seen that when you have a correct setup it takes some effort before it’s dying. Also my general thoughts like we usually spend most of our money on the guitar and amp, there’s no budget for a good speaker anymore-and it’s at least 50 % of the sound (quality)! One little note: the microphone was in the middle, so the Fatcab in the middle was totally direct in the face of the microphone vs the Nanocab and Twincab that were slightly off axis. So the Fatcab sounds a touch too bright compared to the others. My conclusion: whatever makes you feel your guitar (Tone) best, is what you can connect to is what should be your choice. I’m here to share my experience with you, that’s all… See you again next week, same place same time.., cheers, Thomas

Good playing as always, but as one of the first people in New Zealad to own the amp1 years ago i had a problem with it, reached out to blu guitar through the supplier and got no help. Since then i have never purchased any of your products and never will. I was recovering from neck surgey and could not carry an amp any longer so the amp 1 seemed a great idea . It costs a lot of money in my country for your equipment and after months of trying to get help, even trying to contact you i gave up and tossed the unit, the amp1 worked great for a few months but just stopped one night, up until then i was telling everyone how great it was. Have been. Boss Katana owner for 5 years and love it. Still disappointed. Still think you are a wicked player. Mike from NZ.

Hallo Thomas. David Gilmour, Brian Setzer.

Superb show Thomas 😎 The room mic demo was very clear with the difference between grille on / off and bass ports open / closed... The difference with the open back was less noticeable on my speakers. Really interesting that you're developing an even lighter, more powerful Nanocab with the neo speaker... I have the og nano, which I went for because of size and weight and the fact that it sounds great. Re. the Blubox, will this ever be available in the UK again? Cheers, Matt 😎

Both cabs sound great. The Fat cabs are more mid forward and likely cuts through better but I like them both. These days I pretty much only play through an RCF NX 12-SMA powered wedge. I switched when I went to mainly modelers. I found that once I dailed that wedge in it translates excellent to front of house. Plus it's super easy to lug around so I totally get going smaller cabs or no cabs / direct to board. I can't wait to get my Amp X to dial it in 😎😁.
@BluGuitar6 ай бұрын
Thank you for your feedback! In the future I’ll have a deeper look at FRFR as well, at this point I’m personally not convinced yet… ;-)
@checkitout6116 ай бұрын
@BluGuitar Yeah the RCF NX is just a standard higher end stage monitor wedge. Not FRFR. So it's more like dialing it in for PA / front of house speakers. For me it works out great. I do also have a 2x12 I use as well which I use for my amps for sure. I tried an FRFR but I prefer a cabinet or wedge better if using a modeler.
@FranciscoYosores6 ай бұрын
The wedge monitor, are you using the Blubox or some IR loader? I'm assuming here you are using an Amp1.
@checkitout6116 ай бұрын
@@FranciscoYosores I use a Kemper Stage but am waiting for AMP X to be released (hoping this year) and am on the "waiting list". If I was using the Amp1 Iridium (which I have tried) I would simply use the speaker simulator like if I was using the recording out of the box and dial it in that way. I'll likely use the AMP X both into my 2X12 cabinet and also use it into my wedge via an IR loader pedal (like you said) or IR Box and then into the wedge just as I do now. 👍
@FranciscoYosores6 ай бұрын
@@checkitout611 Thanks for the reply! If it's gonna be an AmpX, I believe IR loading is already part of it's feature set so no need for a separate IR box.

I can only suggest tossing in the towel and merging with fractal to combine 1) bluguitar technology, 2) Fractal emmense technology and selection, and 3) next generation computing. Bluguitar amp selection will just be light-years behind when amp x emerges, if ever.

@@whimpypatrol5503 well, let’s see! I believe fractal does the best digital modeling on the planet these days, but I know what AMPX feels and sounds like on stage: only Tube amps move air like AMPX Greetings, ThomasBlug
@jerrysolonsmith84712 ай бұрын
Blug is right...... Fractal has lost market share not because it doesn't sound good but because it's too freaking complicated to tweak on the fly for the majority of users in a typical live situation..... I've had pretty much every major platform all the way back to original pod and rack pod up through amplitude and then on to fractal, Kemper, Helix, and also a huge selection of vintage gear traditionally as well as vintage gear through two notes di products..... . I have resources to get literally anything on the market in triplicate for redundancy and yet I'm in line for an Amp-x. I think it could be the best of both worlds of moving air or direct situations in a convenient sized package with a layout designed for actual players who employ gear in diverse settings and need to roll through whatever happens in a live or rapid studio environment, rather than just the home studio enthusiasts that record one track for 60 hours with infinite tweaking or players in a pre programmed tour setting with the same set list for a year at a time. Blug is the man.
