@@nillyk5671 Daddio isn't another language, but with the play on her trying to have another word that sounds like Mum/Mom, she says Mamacita. In the 50s/60s Daddio or Daddy-o as I should have said it, was a slang variant of Dad/Daddy. But it was also used by beatniks/hipsters and was usually used to address an older person. Not considered an insult, but was similar to the words “dude” or “man” that are used today 👍 I hope that helps

At 0:25 in, assuming that she had not gone back in time yet (or else she would remember it) it's mentioned that mom's friends were murdered 35 years ago (in '87), so the answer is yes the Sweet 16 Killer would exist and still exists even up to the Photo Booth scene (for the original timeline) in which she went back in time.

I hated the main character , it was like she literally epitomized the cringiest version of the most unapproachable GenZ girl ever . “Got the weed gummies!” “Knocking is RUDE” *Sits in the back and ignores her loving father* On top of this , every POC character has this sense of righteousness about them , like the mother of the main characters best friend “the manufacturing business doesn’t let us have Halloween off” just to be smug to the white dad who’s clearly better off. The underlying preachiness of it all is just too much . After that crap I could do with some better writing , the mother has been stalked for years and yet SHES the one staying alone answering the door for trick or treat , and she LIKES IT ? What? On top of this , she literally answers the door (with massive windows showing the killer) when it’s clearly the same killers outfit that murdered her friends when she was 16 (why the HECK is she answering the door at all , let alone to a trick or treaters that looks just like the old killer?) . More so , the mother literally has a gun and doesn’t even grab it until the killer RUNS TOWARDS HER and she kung fun throws him . Wouldn’t it have been smarter to run to the gun IMMEDIATELY instead of watching him break through the door ? For reasons unknown she also keeps OC spray under her couch INSTEAD OF ANOTHER PISTOL OR A KNIFE 😅. Such poor writing . Let’s see how many more terrible instances of writing and character development I can find. If this is supposed to top Freaky , it isn’t even close . It’s also not very funny , they seemed to pick the funniest jokes for the trailer . I want to like the main character , I really do but she’s just SO BITCHY. Ok , I just got to the time travel part , this is so freaking cringe . I didn’t even realize this was apart of the plot , the director probably wanted that cuz he knows the entire story was way too convoluted- there’s so many working parts here that don’t WORK TOGETHER . Just give me some damn jokes and enough PC crap like “your shirt is SUPER problematic” (she says this while pointing to the federal booby inspector shirt). This is teeny bopper stuff , through and through . So many stereotypes of the 80s and masculine culture as if it’s from some cringy GenZ kid that’s watched far too many KZbin videos about how the 80s were … so very unfunny and very close to being a good movie but where’s the jokes ? Why time travel ? Why the poor writing? If this is what the newest generations all like , we are absolutely doomed for entertainment in the future

Great movie, it breaks the slasher and time travel movie rules but in such a good way, it feels fresh and, at the same time, like if you were watching a movie like Scream for the first time. It's not a big movie but it's so well done and the acting is mostly good, Kiernan great as always and Julie Bowen reminds me of Drew Barrymore a lot (I'm not saying why but she knew what she was doing) 💯💯💯

My dad would always put up the Halloween decorations super early since I could ever even remember. It was in honor of their wedding anniversary in September and my mom's August birthday. I proudly carry that on to my kids. Halloween movie season started on Labor Day weekend for me! 😉

I really loved this movie. I literally came here just to say that! Everything about it is perfect in my opinion. I love how its set on Halloween thats always a plus, the actors they chose nailed it, i love the flashbacks of the characters, the bits of comedy. Honestly there isn't anything i didn't like.
