What's funny is that's what of what they did before DNA testing. Took a picture for evidence, track blood splatter pattern and clean it up once done. Even wilder when it was introduced, people thought it was nasty to collect the blood and didn't think dna was real.

If you go back to the future and still exist or exist changed, it doesn't change you either way. You just have to learn some new things supposedly about yourself. I have to admit, I'm so glad they did the double twist of the modern-day killer being a different person because I clocked Doug almost Immediately. The way they introduced him early and had him show up again (especially after killing one of the red herring leads, sorta made it more like they were trying to give it away a tad bit). I’m so glad I decided to watch this movie before the Kill Count. I don’t always do it, but I think I learned from this one I absolutely should. The whole film was totally up my alley and it pays off in a very big way at the end. Highly recommend it!
