@Hugo Guidon yes, motion capture is actually more productive than handmade animations, especially for cutscenes. I mean, even GTA SA was using motion capture, so it's not a big deal.

hi, i'm the person who first discovered these cutscenes, and i'm gonna clear up a few things! -the build these videos came from was a ps3 debug build, compiled about a month or two before the game's release -the story isn't in said build, but it seems the cutscenes are from 2009-ish -the reason i think these cutscenes are still in this build is that there are a lot of remnants of a build compiled december 2009, enough to get an actual build running (although it takes a lot of work) -the story was cut apparently because activision were very much pushing blur's online multiplayer, and they felt that the story mode was taking away from it -there are some cutscenes that are still lost, namely ones that took place in san francisco -i originally found the videos, but wheatley found the associated audio -the build was actually public since around 2019, but it was hard to come across, i got it from someone who had it saved on their CFW ps3, and they had essentially no knowledge of the game itself, so i assume he didn't look much into it

Seriously, you can see money in the UI part of the cutscenes too. They originally were going to make this basically NFS Most Wanted where you do challenges, earn money/fans and buy better cars and upgrades throughout the game as well as be a combination of mario kart like game mechanics. Blur would have been huge if it weren't for the time constraint

This is amazing, such a shame it was scrapped, thanks Activition. Also, the lack of audio in the cutscenes from 18:11 onwards may be on purpose, it seems some kind of "savescreen" for the game, maybe something to play while you don't hit the "start" button before the main menu we got today, don't have any proof but it's the closest feeling i got to these videos in particular, who knows.

here's whom I could see feasibly as an alleged "story mode" adversary, holding the mod. of mines. {and here how I'd make them; charges go off split three smaller mines, n' two qualities: they are significantly reduced in dmg & crowd-control, the racer can avoid for in between but with strictly drive skills as for how tight they are delivered}. Assumed for an Amboy track. How's that? - give me your thoughts and which car type would fit be cool for him & print design clearly desert-arid tones. He's so far an unrealized, yet canon to my mind interpretation.

'cause, none of the provisional-adaptings in clips convince me enough for the "renown" a story-mode rival inclusion should grasp. Yes, he'd suppose to own that not-as-luxurious shape of a car, not as truck-y neither in my opinion. A more refined choice for that maybe. As for btw mention, the provisionals of Talon and Carver gained its legitimacy look in the final, while prob. others would've done the "ok-check" for me eitherways. Excepting Khan, his current or the R8 FSI, suits more of his 'senior' embodiment.

The strangest thing is that there are stripes on Bobby's car, but at the moment you can see that his pickup truck has a stock version, while after the start of the race you can see another car, namely a Ford Mustang GT-R with coloring pages, the question is where did he get the pickup if it wasn't it his car?

Parava para tirar screenshots e assistia aquele mar de pessoas em festas ao redor das tracks e torcendo, pulando enquanto os carros passavam e isso mexia bastante comigo. Saber que aquele mundo era muito mais vivo do que parecia. Junto com o Fan Demands, parecia um sketch da social mídia dentro do universo. These unknown characters can be seen in community events, and there is one character I couldn't see who was an opponent named Morrissey, can you explain who he is, I just played 2 player mode for a long time and saw some of their characters like Rin is Harumi, but why not her sisters, and she doesn't have a face mask, instead she just dyed it, and she doesn't speak English, but kind of Japanese, and there was the same Morrissey.

Dunno if this is a coincidence or not, but seems like every character had a set car brand to them? Mostly the main cast had certain cars that may have had something to do with their character? Carver drove all Dodges, Rhymer drove all Chevrolets, Shannon drove German cars (VW and Vauxhall) and Shannon's brother drove Ford trucks. Really sad to see some unused liveries here too. Do you have clearer pictures of them by any chance?
