Not all roofing companies can just afford to wait till the following year to deduct $XX,XXX from their total income (hopefully being more what was lost having to cover material and labor. The corporate tax rate in the US is 21% and then some states (not mine) have income tax as well.

She was trying to cater an event, so when it was time to eat after probably a little speech, she took the initiative and started preparing the cake be cut and passed around, but she forgot its a ceremony not an event, and the the bride and groom are the ones who cut the cake together as a symbolic reference "whats hers is mine and whats mine is hers" type of thing. Thats what i thought it symbolized anyways.

Answer to the roofing problem, my boss once gave me the wrong adress to remove and put up new gutters at a house, so i did the whole job. And when i was finnished, they told me that it was the wrong adress. Needless to say: the homeowners were the proud owners of brand new gutters, that they didn't have to pay a dime for. Fortunatly it wasn't my fault. :)

Yes. The roofing company, in that situation, is now liable and SHOULD finish the job; however the home owner has zero obligation to pay. However that's not how it would actually go. The company would instead pay for the damages and now the home owner has to get another company to redo his roof. All at a cost to the home owner.

The cat was neither brave nor dumb it's a cat. When they're not playing around they are almost impossible to actually hurt fast flexible agile and with reflexes even snakes can't compete with. Just because Tiddles likes to nap on your lap never forget they are members of an apex predator species. One who's success is based entirely on speed and aggression. Unless backed into a corner no other mammals have a chance of actually hurting them and they are an absolute menace to anything remotely in their size range.

Fun Fact: MOST wild animals are just wandering and just looking for food. If people leave them alone, they'll leave people alone. Most animals want a fight even LESS than humans do. Granted there are exceptions; sometimes they are extremely hungry, or are already agitated, or become agitated due to people acting stupid upon seeing them. So a bear just sauntering by isn't really any threat. It's just wandering. It's when they start to make growling sounds that you need to be gone.
