My 12 year old son was in class last week and they’re talking about social issues. He was the one to inform his female classmates that they have in fact been sexually harassed. He was the one to tell his classmates what’s going on in Hollywood, what happens to girls and women. He was the one to tell his male classmates that what they’re doing is wrong if they’re joking about a girls new breasts. This is because he KNOWS that it’s not whether or not girls he knows have or will be harassed or assaulted. He knows that if things don’t change, it’s just a matter of when.

@@ameerhazim9495 she is damaged beyond repair. Not her fault but she is... It's like saying all women are goldigging sluts... Ridiculous. These people fail to understand the reason and cause for things happening. Sexual predators are not sexual predators because of their gender... It's because of their brain and morality. The only thing that gender affects is wether they act on it. It is much easier for men to assault women than the other way around.
@karyssapower25862 жыл бұрын
@@mrspicolli I interpreted it as not being able to tell who the men are that are going to sexual assault. When we say, "Not all men" it's because we're not considering the woman's perspective. A woman doesn't have the liberty of finding out who a man is before she needs to put up her guard. By the time you find out the type of man you're with, like the so-called male feminists in her poem, it's when they're raping you. So, yeah, not all men are rapists. But women don't have the luxury of trying to figure out which ones are and which ones aren't. So we have to be guarded against everyone. I think that's the meaning of a full wolf having raped someone. There is no rhyme or reason to it, there's no way for us to tell who the men are that will or won't rape.

And happy to hear that this granted you to emotions you aren't supposed to feel ashamed for, deny yourself and need to verify as real to heal. Your experience is so valid. What happened to you is too fucked up... I also can't stand people who accept damaging behaviours. Like the person in the video I'm disappointed in people who don't get outraged about these things. The truth is you should not have to be angry, this shouldn't have happened to you at all. And you shouldn't have to be the only one who is angry. But you deserve to get the validation that is earned. You also completely ignored what i was saying about all men are not rapists and yet you just write up about all the women who were raped by men. I am sorry for what happened to you and your friends but if men are raped more what are we doing for them? I have read many cases about men killing themselves over being falsely accused of rape. Do you know why? because they lose everything. jobs. friends. careers. school just for being accused. if what you say about rape being hard to prove how does this happen to someone over just an allegation. The court justice system is rigged against men in terms of jail time. I dont hate women. I love them but when femenists come along accusing all men as violent rapists, well then you can go fuck yourself because I know I will never be one. Oh and if feminists want to stop this hatred on men. give me one thing feminism has done for men. (you will struggle)

I'm scared to even trust my family because even though I think they never will, stories from real people, friends, neighbors, have shown me anyone can do that, and that can happen to anyone. I'm so tired of being scared, I should be able to go to the movies with friends, go to concerts, go to friends houses, without my mom telling me "I don't trust their parents" and me completely understanding because what if they hurt me? My mom has a job to where she sees this everyday, so she's worried her daughter will get raped by her friends parent. I'm fucking scared. Shit...I was rapped by my next door neighbor when I was 7-10, so 4 years....it went on almost once a week...he told me "its normal...everyone dose it...don't be uncomfortable"...I never knew what was right or wrong...luckily he is gone...but he took my sanity, my self confidence, and my self worth with him...

I was 9 years old when it first happened to me. Its happened 4 times since then and im only 13. The first time i was just wearing my school uniform and on the bus home. He sat next to me and started touching me up there. i started screaming and crying and the bus driver pushed him off the bus. I talked to my school admin about it and he said "How were you sitting?", "What were you wearing?', "what were you doing?" I WAS 9 YEARS OLD and i had nightmares up until the age of 11 when it happened twice more. i dont even go out side and i get called an introvert for it. Im not an introvert, im young and im scared of being sexually assaulted again.

I wish my words could hug you to make you better, enveloping you in the cool feeling of security and taking your worries away. Instead, I can merely hope that you are okay and doing better, sending my sad regards while going on with my daily life.

Incredible piece and deeply moving too. I, too, am tired of rape culture being denied as "a real thing" by many, and the amount of sexual assault and lack of consent that seems to spread each year.

Hearing and seeing things like this helps when it comes to figuring out how common sexual assault is, and knowing that you're not alone. It's such a miraculous poem, and I know it takes a lot of strength to say what she did, especially given her history. GREAT JOB! Thank you.

She somehow finds the words to say the things I can't or won't say to myself or my mom or therapist and I can't thank her enough for sharing her struggles and her voice, it has given me a tool I can use to express my own frustrations when I can't find the words, she does.

I hate when people victim blame. What I was wearing, doesn't ,mean those people should have broken the law, along with me. And if you want to know so badly? It was winter, so I was wearing a sweatshirt and leggings. I was 11.

So some small survival hacks I have in case you find yourself in need of them. However, if you freeze or can't win the fight, just know that you are not to blame and that you are beautiful, loved and cherished. You will heal with time because you are strong. 1) Go for the eyes. Use anything you can find, even your fingers if you have to. Push them into their eyes as hard as you need to, until you hear the popping of his eyeballs. 2) Go for the throat. Your teeth are stronger than they look, you can use them to bite his throat. 3) If he holds you down, try to wrap your legs around his body and either toss or squeeze until something breaks. Or a combination of both.

@@pranavvaishnave7648 I think everyone's aware that you'd have to act in a matter of seconds and improvise. Also, we shall use they because both men and women can be sexual predators. In any case, I'm just providing information that might help someone in that situation. Hope you have a good day.
@strawberryfox88194 жыл бұрын
@@pranavvaishnave7648 So what, do you suggest just letting it happen even if you do not freeze? Unfortuantely, not doing that would result in the assault to not be classified as that, at least not in my country because it has to be evident that you resisted the attack. Truly, I'm interested in what you suggest.

I feel so upset and enraged every time I watch this. These very words speak my most aggressive, most potent and most sickening thoughts. Whilst my own husbands calls them "depressing drivel". And I'm sad that I married part of the problem when he trivialises such words, thoughts and feelings, instead of being outraged that she's been put in the position to think and feel these things. Her words are mine, and so many others. She speaks for so fucking many, I could not be more livid.
