The phrase, "I have never felt entitled to grieve this," really touches me. It's so painful. Thank you for sharing what you wrote.

I watch every poem from Blythe, they are unbelievably moving. Thank you so much for speaking about such heavy topics. I sincerely believe in and look forward to you having more reasons for happy poems than sad ones.

Blythe Baird will forever be my biggest inspiration, words cannot do justice for impact she has made for women.

I just want to give this lady a hug. When she started naming all the fruits and vegetables i started sobbing.

Thank you for this poem, I've been thinking so much lately about the chid I had to say goodbye to a decade ago, and it sometimes feels like a living hell. Your voice was so gently painful to listen to, in the most gorgeous way. You made us lean in.

I would’ve had a five year old by now, I still haven’t felt like I’m allowed to grieve, but that pain never leaves you.

It has also been 3 whole years, I still feel guilt for even grieving this loss.

Once, I got into a debate with my friend about the abortion issue. He wasn’t bigoted or callous, just confused and struggling to understand the issue from a female perspective . At some point he said to me “I just don’t understand how the women who get abortions don’t regret it. I mean that was their baby, right?” I could think of no retort. After all, I’ve never been in a relationship, let alone pregnant. I was incapable of giving him a satisfying answer (not that there ever really is one). Instead, I pulled up this poem and told him to listen to it. Afterward, he was silent for a moment before he said “I think I understand now”. Thank you Blythe Baird, for telling the story I could never tell in a voice everyone can understand.

I am so glad when I recite poetry I know It All by heart if you're not looking at a telephone or a book seems to be the norm, it's more like storytelling to me.

Unfortunately, this person isn't capturing what we mean by pro choice. It's mainly a piece on guilting pro life people. So sad hey. If only you knew how they empathize with moms that saw no other way than killing their babies.
