Did ford ranger today. Also have latest ids. Somehow programming is taking very long. Just to program pcm took me an hour of waiting. I think it must be on Ford server where file is being downloaded. Great job as always

Hi Brian, I have an issue with my Ford Focus 2012, my TCM is broken, the recall from Ford is going to happen until February next years, this is a totally mess so I will do it by myself, Im getting the brand new TCM then program it by myself, do you know from where can I buy or borrow the VCM II? thanks a lot

What do you like most , diagnostic or programming ?

Diagnostics is what I like more due to the challenge. Programming is great for making money, but really boring doing th same thing over and over. Programming is interesting when learing a new module or vehicle. Almost like asking a tech if they like doing oilchanges and brakes or do they like diag job or engine work.

Is the software the same for the focus and fiesta? I installed a fiesta tcm on focus and can’t get the cluster to register gear position, I did attempt to do the relearns most of them worked but failed at clutch adjustment. I do have a code for failure to communicate with tcm and cluster. These codes are not present with the original tcm. Thanks a lot.

We have one in the shop right now exhibiting the exact same symptoms, customer had a Tcm from Amazon installed and someone programmed it at his house, I am very tempted to condemn that part but also looking for more info like you lol.

Hey did you ever found a solution? Just did the same thing here from focus to a fiesta I turn on ignition in the car and can’t move gears and can’t program with forscan also

@@Noctmain you need to get the correct tcm. I’ve heard it’s possible to use the fiesta tcm but dealer would have to flash it and more times than not that won’t work either. I ordered mine from jegs. It was supposed to be a 1 month wait but it ended up being 3.5 months.

I’ve been using fjds with a snap on pass thru and it’s always challenging programming. Is ids much better?

I have not used fjds, I only have used fmp( ford module prigramming,the program before fjds) I found ifs to be better.

Problem: my car stopped starting and I got a new starter and checked wires and they are all good. Solution: I got a working TCM from a Ford Focus 2012 with part number A2C30743102 to fit my Ford Fiesta 2011 who had a TCM with part number A2C53377498. The car now starts but it’s failing to be programmed because the “gears” are not shifting (it’s automatic). Any advice on what I should try to do now? Thanks!

When load the 125.01 software, it asks for an activation license. I had to upgrade my older IDS software. What do I need to to to active the software. I know software is free but not sure. Can you help me with this?

Yes most of the time, until my "unlimited" plan slows me down then I switch to a dedicated hot spot.
