BMC Mini Police Van, renovation of the Corgi Toys model no. 448. Year of production: 1964.

The next incarnation of the iconic Mini was created in the form of a police van model in 1964 at the Corgi Toys factory. The model was very attractive. Additionally, it included a figurine of a policeman and a dog. My copy, like most of those available on the market, was heavily damaged. I had to replace the windshield, which had a very large hole, and copy the figures in this model. I also made the tires that weren't there and the decals and antenna. To complete the whole, I made a copy of the original box with a display display. Thank you for watching the video, I publish car repair videos on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Magnificent restoration work Paul. Just one detail - Mini vans and pick-up trucks had body-colour painted radiator grilles, and I think the Corgi model would have done so as well.

Very good restoration, I had read in a modelling book to wait 24 hours after applying decals, before putting the sealant on, but your captions said 2, was that a typo?

Tak czasami patrze na te wszystkie renowacje i sie zastanawiam nad opłacalnością tego jeśli to idzie na sprzedaż.... no bo materiały do odlewów, szpachle,farby... itd wiadomo że tego za darmo nie dają ..co najwyżej kawałki plexi i inne materiały jak spienione pcv można wytargać ze śmietnika u firm które zajmują sie sprzedażą tych materiałów, no ale też nie wszędzie bo niektórzy są takimi łajzami jak pies ogrodnika(komuś nie da a sam nie zeżre).. i teraz jeszcze swój czas na odnowienie tego no to nie wiem jaka wartość takiego autka musiała by być żeby wyjść na swoje... no chyba że to jest takie hobby do powiększania swojej kolekcji..... jak to wygląda u pana ?

Tanie hobby to to nie jest, ale może sprawia temu Panu przyjemność. A jak człowiek sie czymś pasjonuje to jest w stanie wiele poświęcić. Są przecież osoby odnawiające samochody w normalnej, skali i nikt im do tego nie dopłaca.
