@@buffalosoutdoorshey, can you please do some tests of 45LC in a .410 shotgun? I know many people question if the berneke slug does better or just a nice powerful hunting load of 45LC? Any chance you could test accuracy at 75 yards between the two as well in addition to a close gel block test? Thank you so much for the consideration and all you do!

I have a question about an old Remington 12 gauge full choke goose gun. Probably from the late sixty's. Is it safe to shoot the steel shot out of them? I was told by someone that, that was not a good idea? I would hate to ruin the shot gun, its a beauty. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks Buffalo
@ryanbranco97864 ай бұрын
Do not put steel through that gun. If it’s old and has a full choke barrel, you will hurt it and yourself. Constriction of a full with steel is not good.

If it was already a 410 then why choke at 410 the first one did it make it chock up
@buffalosoutdoors4 ай бұрын
I am not sure I understand your question. I believe you are asking why use a .410 choke if the bore is already .410. If that is what you're asking it's because you need a choke tube installed to protect the choke tube threads inside the bore. Even though it doesn't add any constriction it is still serving a purpose.

Just a reminder…to my understanding there is not a “standard “ constriction for each choke. In fact there are several different industry measures for chokes. Means a lot when especially you want to “measure” old guns.

Very helpful for understanding pattern restrictions for hunting various game. But why does one need a cylinder choke which doesn't restrict the pattern? Can't one just shoot without any choke?
@aj57484 күн бұрын
If you shoot through a barrel with screw in chokes with the choke removed you can damage the threads and will not be able to put a choke in. Potentially you could affect your accuracy with the inconsistency of damaged threading at the end of your barrel. I have plenty of shotguns with screw in cylinder chokes I don’t intend to touch but it just gives you the option of restricting pattern if you’re in the need.
