Hey man, how is that metal carport doing for a range cover? Is it loud, or are you even using it for that? I was planning to put a pole barn style roof over mine and never thought about one of those!

Buffalo, that SK Std. Plus in your CZ 457 Varmint MTR is the best group I have ever seen on any video-anywhere. 👍🏻 I have 3 Anschutz .22’s but that CZ 457 is a gem. What is also amazing is all you did was put a lighter Yo Dave trigger spring on and put a shoe cover on the trigger. 😂😂😂 I had to get up and watch that video again it is so amazing ie(an out of the box CZ 457 Varmint MTR & you didn’t have to spend hundreds of dollars on a bunch of after mkt. supposedly upgraded barrels, triggers chastises $ bedding the chassis, bipods & play around with action screw torques and crazy cleaning techniques ! 😂😂👍🏻 I can’t believe I have missed this video as I watch all of your .22 CZ Rifle Videos! You keep saying you’re not a professional shooter I would re consider & shooting in a few Bench-rest matches as I am confident no one can come close to 10 holes at 50yds. in .300” 😳

Buffalo, Don’t change the way you do these videos, you do it best. Love that you don’t modify your rifle and then call it a CZ. I have a MTR. Would mean nothing to me with a different barrel. Thank You Buffalo!

Still testing ammunition with my MTR, but on an indoor 100yd range using SK Pistol Match, I was able to shoot a 10 shot .8 inch group. Shot another 10 rounds and it only opened up to a 1.1 inch group for 20 shots. I was very proud of it at that point. Buffalo, I greatly enjoyed this series, hats off to you.

I have also gotten some misfires with Eley match with the same CZ 457 Varmint MTR. I have since added a YO-Dave plus 10 percent main spring and added .003" of shims to my bolt. I did a slight profiling of the firing pin also.... keeping it just slightly inboard of the cartridge edge. No misfired since

Hi Buffalo, great shooting there buddy. I too have been evaluating .22lr ammo through my CZ 455 16"Varmint thumbhole rifle and after trying several brands. (Geco, Eley Match/Club/Team, CCI Standard/Blazer, American Eagle, SK Rifle Match/Long Range and others i can't recall), i've now settled on SK Standard Plus. This ammo groups better than all the others i have tried in my 455. So far i have had zero flyers, if a round happened to open the group up it was down to the nut behind the butt! As you rightfully say they may not perform the same in one's particular rifle but they sure do in mine. My ammo testing is now over, SK Standard Plus all the way for me. Keep your wonderful videos coming mate. ATB from the UK.

@Crete19433 жыл бұрын
Keep in mind that each batch or brand or type of .22LR differs for a number of reasons, yet the main weakness of rimfire ammo is its irregular ignition. During the priming phase of manufacturing, the priming ought to be equally distributed around the rim. If and when this is done is anyone's guess. In SK Standard Plus this ignition issue has been eliminated. The SK S+ seems to have the most consistent ignition from round to round in my experience with a variety of rimfire pistols and rifles. It shoots one-hole groups @ 25m with a handgun or @50m with a rifle (any type, from sporters to Match types), all day long, unlike any other type including ELEY and LAPUA pricey Match stuff. There is no equal to SK S+ in consistency with either a clean bore or a conditioned one; cold or warm weather, rain or shine. I have shot my best pistol matches with SK S+ and in a rifle (any rimfire type), it shines, just as seen here. Brilliant.

Thank you for a great series and all your time and expense. That rifle is matching the accuracy of rifles costing more than 3 times as much! Since you began the series, we acquired a CZ 457 "At One" model for my wife. She is very pleased with it and still burning through a large quantity of Wolf Match Target I bought some years ago for her previous Remington target rifle (passed down yesterday to my oldest son for his boys to shoot). I also acquired a High Standard Supermatic Citation match pistol during this series. I am going to order some of the SK Standard Plus to give a try in both these guns. It is also the cheapest of the three. For now, I will order 200 rounds and give it a go! Thanks, Buffalo!

This entire series actually inspired me to pickup a new bolt action .22 and boy I'm not disappointed! Cz 456 pro varmint bone stock just LOVES the SK ammunition, standard plus averages .40 from 5x 5shot groups and the pistol match also runs in at an average of .390 from 5x5shot groups the only one that opened up was the flatnose ending up with an average .590 from 5x5shot groups. The rifle match and long range match do alright but didn't geoup as well at 50 but beat the top 50yd ammo at 100yds by an average of 15%

Cool. Looking forward to the longer range shooting. I really enjoy your testing methods, your video editing, and your personality. Once you shoot a 10 shot group like that at 50 yards (I have not), longer range is only challenge left with 22lr. Hard to see how a more expensive rifle could have done any better.
@romeobravo20233 жыл бұрын
Salut, Well done with an excellent demonstration of the various ammos fired with your CZ 457 MTR. It would have been inconsistent to change your testing methodology mid testing re kit etc. Also the various “improvements suggested”, even down to the removal of the swivel studs were impressive. However I did suggest you utilise a more accurate method of POI and MOA measurement, which could have been employed in the final contest. Ballistic-X software (as an example) which costs less than 10 dollars is not an extravagant investment and would have made your finale even better in terms of accurate assessment and acceptance. As an owner of the CZ 457 MTR and Premium models I shoot RWS Rifle Match in the former and SK Rifle Match in the latter. Please note, despite the views of other KZbin channels who I respect, my CZ 457 MTR (with a suppressor fitted) has achieved 0.27MOA at 50 metres, which I attribute to the improved barrel harmonics with the suppressor fitted. I did also notice on your bench a copy of the CZ “Test Firing Sheet”. In Europe they shoot RWS, which ammo do they shoot in the USA? Cordialement RB
