Do keep in mind that Kibler played a lot of decks during theorycrafting, and KZbin vids are supposed to be highlight games, he probably struggled to find some, especially since mage got pretty bad cards this expansion, save for Yogg In a Box.

Can anyone explain why the enemy hero didn't take the 5 damage at 2:06? I don't play hearthstone anymore but have followed Kibler for a long time yet I can't see the mechanic blocking the damage

Fun deck! I’ve tried tendrils before, and found you need nerves of steel to play it. lol That hunter got lucky pulling that Rat Trap from the titanforged traps, but it was also a brilliant play and obviously a strong counter to your deck. That was probably the winning play right there. Muk plus Rat Trap was great. Just as I post this, I discover that that hunter deck is stupid strong. Like potentially game breaking strong.

Regiskillbin made a video with it and was actually finding some success. Fanottem, Sargeras, and twisting nether do most of the work, but he also ran the Zilliax that duplicates itself then shuffles into deck on death to mitigate fatigue. Definitely a fun idea
