A windy start for HAWK'S Day 10 of indeterminate milage (turns out 4.1 miles). . . . easy trail walking and a motivating "reunion" with KT and PR serve as HAWK'S fuel for the day and a mysterious gravesite along the way referencing a murder by the "Kirkland Bushwhackers" is one of the day's more unusual highlights. . . .finally for Today's HAWKISM @2:45 we have more evidence of HAWK'S "roll with the punches attitude" regarding the quality of the maintenance along the BMT, "Could be trail there is blowdown on it. . . .Yup that is trail. (HAWK chuckle)"

since your in the same general area keep on the look out of a guy who has a youtube channel who is missing, hobo shoestring, he is a train hopper. you can watch train videos who are talking about him, he is about 57 long beard has no thumb or forefinger on his one hand and he is hard ot hearing and super nice guy. a vetran. his family is missing him big time. there are pictures of him on the internet. he was disoreinted and is on foot. he might hop a train, probalby not, but if you happen to see someone with a long beard and missing fingers. is name is mark nicholas.

"The infamous Kirkland Gang ( Kirkland Bushwackers) was led by John Jackson Kirkland, a former 2nd Lieutenant in the 3rd TN Mounted Infantry during the Civil War and a deserter whose gang was made up of mostly deserters as well. They were known as the most blood thirsty gang of that time. John would lead the gang on raids and prey upon the helpless folks left behind by loved ones who were serving in the war. John didn't care who he had to kill to get what he wanted. His own family members included. John had a great hatred for union soldiers. The union army had burned the family grist mill in Turkey Creek to the ground. When John saw this he swore an oath against the union army and took personal revenge against anyone in the blue uniform."
