How to remove the mirror cover without breaking the glass!

It is beter to unclip the mirror it zelf and push the clips together to prevent breaking them.

Nice, ordered m3 mirror caps and they should he here this weekend, plan on doing what you did here. I always thought you had to remove the mirror before hand.

Some people do without issue but a lot of guys end up breaking the glass..... including me. Check out the price of the original glass! I found it easier to pop the cover off.

First video I saw was of a guy who was taking the mirror out and then he said risks were breaking it so be careful, did some more hunting and found this. Took me a harder time to put the new ones on then to take the old ones off😂😂

It's the same as changing the bulb on the mirror, most videos tell you to remove the glass.... This is unnecessary, just remove the cap

Yes, the mirror glass breaks very easily, and genuine bmw replacements are not cheap to buy. It's always easier to pop the cover off like in the video.

Не делайте так. Снимать нужно сначала зеркальный элемент,а потом крышку легко от щёлкните. Если этого не сделать ,сломаться крепления (направляющие петли)

i wouldnt advise this ! Better to pop the mirror off and release the cover from behind !!!!!!
