Removed from a 2007 E81 118i n43 engine with 97000miles.
BMW part number 11417584990.
The old one sticks open easily which can allow a drop in oil pressure when idling, particularly after driving several miles at a steady engine speed and you come to a stop.
This causes the low pressure oil warning to come on.

W starym zaworze jest jeszcze olej, dlatego nie słychać ruchu rdzenia cewki. To nie świadczy o uszkodzeniu.

Hello, does this valve has to do with high oil pressure as well? I have a bmw 116i F20 and îs showing when revin over 60 psi, at iddle îs staying at normal 20-25 psi. Any feedback îs higly apriciated

Hi, How did you get to the valve? is it accessible from the top? I have ordered a replacement but i have no idea how to get to the thing to change it. thanks

Disconnect battery,remove engine cover and alternator. Its just underneath. *Do so at your own risk.

grant11091980 Thanks mate, did you have any issues getting the valve out of the engine block? mine seems to be stuck solid.

Christopher Curtis it span round easily, but needed a really good pull for it to come out. Think I put a pair of pliers on it. A little dribble of oil will also come out.

Its not a serviceable part, its sealed. I bought my replacement from a BMW dealer with no problem (in UK).

iamwoody10 hi, low pressure warning light would come on, it would go off if you restarted engine. usually when coming off a motorway.

@@GLH8 hey, i have the exact same issue on a 520 with the n43 engine, if i drive agressively or when im on the motorway passing 150,160 kmh it turns on when i come off the motorway. i it serious? do i really have to change it?

Hey, what were the symptoms...Oil Pressure to low? Error Code 0030C1? Was it better after chance?

hi did you change the valve and the warning stopped showing? my car only lights up after it's hot and when it's stopped

Have you timing chain problems, or a new one? You have the new tensioner? My Engine: N43B20 Basically when you have this Error code 0030C1 and no pressure warning light is on you read the codes out with a tool and have the error again and again, then the hydraulic valve hangs and you can buy a new one or clean the old valve. A new one cost 120€ and you can only buy it by a bmw dealer. I had he same problem but no light on and i read out the live parameters while driving (oil pressure) Result: When you have a cold start (only at a cold start)the oil is thicker you start the engine the hydraulic valve hangs (because deposits) then the oil pressure goes immediately to max, this means 6,3-7,1 bar (when i had new oil 0w40, i had 7,2 bar no joke)and you drive with it, there is no light on nothing the car works fine everything is ok. Only the error code comes back, when i read it out and i dont understand what was happening. Then i was understanding the problem, i have no chain or tensioner problems the valve for the camshafts are ok so it can only be the hydraulic valve there must be the problem. I forget to say after the oil pressure goes up after cold start and driving 2 km you restart the engine the oil pressure goes down because the oil is thinner and the valve works finally. If you would drive 10km (no restart) the oil pressure will be stay at max i try it out, this isn't good for the engine. The error code 0030C1 means "static motor pressure control" this make sense. I replaced the old for a new one, but you dont have to do it you can clean it with diesel , the error don't come back. BUT this error could be a note for a dying timing chain or you have a broken sliding rail and this rail is fallen down into the oil tank the oil pump try to pump but he cant build up the oil pressure because there is plastic between the sieve and this error i have see in many forum. Hope for you the best it is only a hanging valve. To replace the valve you need to remove the V-ribbed belt and the alternator (generator) the valve is hidden behind the generator. 1 bolt and good pliers then you need to twist and pull at the same time. @@TheDarkkus in my car I have the code registered but only after it is hot. the same on the panel, only after hot and when stopped to idle. if you run 100 kilometers in road, the low pressure warning never comes on. but as soon as I stop, it immediately lights up. I don't see any problem with the chain, it doesn't make strange noises and it runs well, i use 5w30

@@TheDarkkus Replaced timing chain 9 months ago and got the 0030c1 error code twice in the span of 3 months. could the timings chain be faulty again? i checked the chain, it was tight and did not move. The n43 engine is a pain in the back side.
