BMW 1250gs /gsa. Reset the service indicator/light in minutes!

HOW TO RESET SERVICE INDICATOR
You need a unicarscan ucsi-2000 (mine is a few years so there might be a newer version out there, and also other brands) for 49 euros.
Download Motoscan app on Android(not sure if its works with iphone) and buy the upgrade for 30 euros.
It all takes just a few minutes.
You can also choose to put down a new service date years ahead. Same with next service by milage, so you'll never need to reset it again. I just keep mine for every 10000km or 12 months as a reminder.
Note that doing the service yourself void the warranty.

Good question. No idea. I just remove it but you're right with your question. Why not just leave it.

Why would I do a fake reset? I prefer to have the real honest maintenance and inspection job done at my specialized dealer before I go on a long and safe trip😉

@@Rammit_Inha_Assol Honest maintenance with specialized dealers 😄 Guys stressed with work trying to do the job as fast as they can you mean 😉 No one makes the maintenance better then a owner who knows what he's doing and is meticulous. If you're a hack that cant even change oil/filter etc..you should probably ride a bicycle

@@exit9874 That is the reason why I doing service on my 2021gs from day one. BMW service here in sweden done only 1000km first service which was included and thats it. As car mechanic since 1995 I can tell you that around the western kapitalistic part of the world evrything is stressed to 110% where the money only counts. If you not have time to replace for example "cabine filter" on one car, menager telling you "it is OK" just write in the order that you did it, and here I am talking about "specialized dealers".

Unicarscan 2100 is fully compatible with motoscan. Unfortunately 2000 doesn't support all functions.
