"The Stingray is too fast!" haha admirable attempt to keep up though. Cool vid man. I'm debating on which to buy and stumbled on your vid, thanks

:) Thanks. They are both great choices for daily comfort and normal street use. The 135i is extremely tunable and can be a savage beast on the drag strip with a bigger turbo and a some upgrades. However, for the road coarse where there are corners, the Stingray is the better car and more fun. If I could, I'd own both!

Thanks for the info :) I'm leaning Stingray, but have to drive them both more. Cheers

Right out of the box, the Stingray for sure. Stock for stock, it is hands down the superior choice IMHO. The 135i needs some work done to have a fair comparison. If I didn't have the car already, I'd probably be in a Stingray. ...Or M2. Anyway, try to test drive a properly modified 135i, otherwise I think we all know what you will choose :)

Great video and well driven. I just stumbled upon it a year later :) I'm surprised you have no issues with 235 and 8.5" ET45 at the front. That positions the wheel outside face 15.7mm further out than my stock 7.5" ET48 BMW 261 wheels! :O I'm looking at new wheels from Forgeline - same rear spec as you but I don't dare going wider than 8" ET48 at the front. Don't you ever experience rubbing? Even on the track?
@Milkywave7 жыл бұрын
+Nimbus1951 Thanks! APEX made that offset specifically for the 1 series to fit the maximum amount of rubber in there. There is some rubbing on the fender side at the track but it's not too bad. The car has more camber and rolled fenders now, which helps.

Any fender mods to fit the 235 front and 265 rear?
@Milkywave8 жыл бұрын
+E Be None necessary on wheels with proper offsets. Wheels are 18" APEX EC-7, 8.5" ET45 in the front and 9.5" ET58 in the rear.
