@@enviro_400_life hmm i am looking to buy a 325i i owned. E46 320ci that was doing about 8/7.5L and in the city about 12liters so i was thinking it would be a bit more efficient because it has the newer engine i had the m52 pretty reliable tho

Try using 5W40 oil. This is especially useful on cars with more than 100k miles/ 160k kms

I feel you - own it for 2 years now and there are always some things to do...still think, that n52 is the more reliable choice compared to the n53

You're unlucky my man, I have the same car for 10 years now and I have only changed the water pump and thermostat, no another issues in 10 years, runs like bolt and delivers the horses like it was new, love this thing till death do us part..

@@smm6526 I’ll never get rid of mine either, the engine don’t give me problems it’s more so the rest of the car, water pump, door actuators, fan blower motor for the heat/air conditioning. Alternator. I could keep going 🤣

Thank you! My car (first engine) has run 125.500 kilometers which should be around 78.000 miles. The engine consumes 1 litre of oil per 5000 kilometers (0,26 gallons / 3100 miles). This figures should be very precise since I take notes in an Excel sheet for everything spent for the beemer.

i dont own it anymore, a 216d active tourer replaced it because my wife got a baby. during the time i had it, iwould say it depends, talking about being reliable. it never let me down, was always driveable, but check engine lightg showed up quite often - that is something you get used to. My last journey with the car was from vienna to triest. low fuel consumption and everything smooth as silk, i really liked this car.

​@@alnilam8048Yes performance is very good, fuel consumption too. It feels very fast while its "only" a 325I. Mine runs 254 km/h in limiter on autobahn

Not a diesel engine, but sufficient, especially with the automatic gearbox.

@@wuuiiv9493 Most N/A engine get peak torque at about 4K rpm, but the inline 6 of this car is said to get peak torque at about 2.8K rpm, do you feel that in reality?

@@wuuiiv9493 thanks for the reply, i guess everything's relative, i drive a 2016 mazda 3 auto with 2.0. Its ok in the city and if you drive alone, but on the highway you need at least 3k to start moving... I bet you can decently pick up speed in the 325i even on the overdrive gear (6th)
