BMW 330e F30 (Stage 1) Review | Tuner's heaven or just a posh Prius?

In this video, I review a BMW 330e F30. This car features a 2.0L turbocharged engine as well as an electric motor much like a typical hybrid car such as a Toyota Prius but this doesn't just run to help save you fuel but rather provide a boost when need it. That all sounds well but how tunable are they?

I’m still in love with my 330e. Just passed 185k km. I got 2017 m sport model, once you service it regularly and let it warm up before going too fast it’s amazing. The batteries do degrade I’m only able to do about 25km on batteries alone. I have full custom exhaust from turbo back and had the car remapped and dynoed. 372 horsepower and just under 700 torque on wheels. Sliding/drifting/burnouts 0 problems, a lot of problems with wheel spin as living in Ireland it’s nearly always wet. The best thing for me is that it accelerates at the same rate no matter if you doing 20 or 200 km/h. And it loves country roads, yes it’s not as nimble as my friends petrol version but once you go out of corner it leaves everything behind. Transmission map is a must, makes car so much more responsive.

Can you let me know what part you change to get to 372 hp and how much it cost please and if your remember which shop did it for you. I got the same car 330e but stock and i would like to modify it in ireland

@@bilaxel8359 it depends if power you only after or modification overall. My spec: -catless downpipe from ice tronix in dublin 450 euro -rear exhaust section (leaving the middle silencer and resonator in) 200, here I would go with full exhaust and just a back box from bishops in Dundalk or ice tronix - engine+gearbox map, that depends if you want more control yourself or not to worry about anything, I could only recommend turbo technix in Cavan with dyno read out or go the route I went after, buy enet wifi connector +mg flasher map+license and Xhp lincense +map and play with it yourself. You can switch maps, programme each mode (eco/comfor/sport), program burbles and gearbox shifts. Mg flasher+Xhp gives a lot more freedom but quite a bit more expensive

Every 330e is able to do only 25km with battery only. driving on max e-drive is useless anyway. These batteries are designed to last 6 years at least.

Is diesel worth it now? But yeah love the 6 cylinder diesel engines. Ashame that ulez came cos I would have been with a 07 and up BMW

Get proper anti roll and stability bars, with b16 coilovers. You won't feel the battery weight.
