Great video and one of the best reviews I have seen on these awesome cars. I've had my 330ci manual convertible for 17 years, its done 170k miles and its still my favourite car in my small fleet. I recently bought an F06 M6 with 725bhp and its amazing, but like you mentioned, you cant use anywhere near full power on the roads, its also a 7 speed DCT which takes some getting used to, where the 330 manual is just so great to drive anywhere.

That E46 330 sound sounded like my previous 1999 1.8 gti manual 😜😂🤣🤣

IMO the older car looks better (and I have the newer, albeit with a diesel engine), at least the front. It's more raw, aggressive, less refined. The LCI is just a tad too "polished". They removed some of the classic BMW-ness, if that makes sense. For the same reason I think the F30 looks better than any later 3 series. It shares the same style as the F20 pre-LCI. However, the F20 LCI looks waaaaay better than the current 1 series. It's not even comparable.

But *these car reviewers have warped public opinion,* and the minds of the designers of virtually every, fricking modern car, from economy hatchbacks to (supposed) 'luxury' cars. Almost everything has stiff suspension, rock hard seats and those damned big wheel / low profile rubber band tires. *Therefore, we have road noise, tire noise, horrible, rough crashing ride and stiff, unforgiving suspensions* through which we feel every grain of sand on the asphalt😭.

I recently picked up a 08 8p s line. Absolutely gave in to the im not gonna pay the r32 tax, sadly only the dsg is an option in the us though. Absolutely feel like a kid again in this thing. Not sure the brand, but has an absolutely obnoxious exhaust and it makes me smile.

I have the same car, mine has a lsd and send to msl tuning stage 1. Transforms the car and with the lsd much more planted. Enjoy, great cars

Lol legendary engine is a stretch, it's an infamous one for sure. They say the 650 is an easier own we still have our 645i but they can't figure why it's misfiring, this is it's 1st new to us engine

my guy ,my brother owned the 325 ci and man it was damaged before l could drive but every time he parked that car at the front of the house l would feel some type of a way and it would be a dream come true owning one of the bmw 325ci

I use a piggy back tune and valet mode drops boost pressure a ton and gives you great mpg then you can just switch maps on the fly if you wanna go fast. JB4 tune

for 0-100 whether it's stock, stage 1 or stage 2, the r32 is quicker, for cornering including lap times and wet weather performance the r32 is also superior, only moron must think the gti is better, these are more useful things on a street car than 1/4 mile or roll racing, if it really comes down to it, a boosted r32 is still better than a stage 3+ gti, probably even for roll racing

Audi doesn't do lazy engines. That's oe thing I love about them.

Its NOT 700bhp!!! By HST's own admission while at PSL he clearly stated the car is 650bhp! You CANNOT get over 650 without hybrid turbos & meth! FACT!

C30 t5 is the auto option same motor 🚙

A little late to comment but our R32 is a tad jerky in 1st and 2nd and run off in the low. I believe its an R32 thing from reading around the internet. Easily overcome staying in 3rd at low speeds and using that high torque :-).

I always thought of the 32 as like a baby RS4 and the 6R as a WRX dressed for a classy dinner, and they've almost met in the middle but not quite.

They do three types of heating controls with the ST. They do normal dials they do digital dials and then they do the heat where it’s a full stereo and you operate the heating on the stereo. That’s the better one.

1.8T and the 1.9TDI are two of the best Vw engines ever made Both can be really well tuned. Not all about the power and Mk4s created an incredible car scene that's still popular in 2024.

Great video, Bought my e46 facelift 330ci sport coupe manual in Jan 2012 - still my daily nearly 13yrs later.

Just bought a MK5 R32 #3890 of 5000 here in the states. I looked for an MK4 but there selling for 18-30k for mint condition. I’m in love with this car already. My mechanic just tuned the DSG so I can’t wait to see the difference. Also throwing in high flow cats and a borla exhaust 🤙🏻🤙🏻
