@@eriqrosado3337 heaps better. It actually goes in a straight line now..... instead of floating side to side. There is definitely room to improve on my suspension settings to help it hook though. Got some work to do in time for the next one.

It would have been slow. I couldn't quite reach 200 before the finish line. But my 60-120s were all around half a second slower than i can do on the street. The car wasn't hooking in this video.

Well the M5 race was a bit of an eye opener. I mentioned rolling out to that session, i was just spinning the rears previously. As the car is so bloody quiet when racing the only real sensation i had that the rears where spinning was lack of acceleration. So when i finally used boost by gear, the slower acceleration in 2nd, i thought it broke loose, so i short shifted. That 2 to 3 shift in the vid was under 6000rpm, so it took a while to get the car back in its power band in 3rd, but once there it reeled the M5 back in, would have been interesting to see them going for another few seconds. Now if only i could make this sound like the M5....

I actually love the quietness (comparative at least), I dig the sleeper cars. Imagine if you had the LSD in, woohoo!!!! I am waiting on these inlets to arrive and then I'm into mine. Can't wait!

13 335is DCT FBO PI Dynamic autoworx stage 4 19t 25 psi 65% e85 LSD. I found i have huge traction problems... 123 gears not usable on the street boost limited in 1st 12 psi 2nd 15 psi just received proxes R888R tires, hope this helps. Dyno scheduled for the 18th

Huge amounts of fun. There were some proper serious cars there. It was a bit daunting lining up next to a car with big old drag tyres on the back, while i'm rocking my second hand PS4s and the sub still in the boot haha. The old budget build did us all proud i think.

Definitely. Launching at 15psi really threw me off (the 180sx, F10 M5 and 850i). It felt so slow, when i raced the M5, i short shifted because i thought it broke loose. But it just wasn't pulling like it did at 22psi. Then took ages to wind back up in the power in 3rd. Looking forward to being able to use antilag for the launches.... need the tyres and diff asap.

It's genuinely a bit of a rocket ship. i have never experienced an engine that sounds so tame but pulls this hard. Its why i am so concerned about it blowing up. The engine just feels so strong, but then when you're not on boost its a completely stock engine, quiet, smooth. It's just not right haha. Powerful engines, should be loud, and vibrate and smell...

​@@savinmaharaj9564 This one unfortunately was not maintained well by previous owners.... she also has a top end tick. Could be lifters, its definitely not injectors or anything easy to access. Only ticks when oil pressure is low. So up over say 2750rpm its quietens down, but something isnt right.

I was excited just watching it, but it sounds like the continuous adrenaline high took it's toll. Pick yourself up some energy bars. The Clif brand is pretty good if you can get them down where you are. I think you really want to stick with the 3.46 and not change the final drive to 3.64. Imagine what the car would feel like launching in second at like 20 or 25 psi if both tires can hook. This looks like it was an absolute blast and you didn't break anything. Might be interesting to do an used oil analysis now that you've put some runs on the engine. Just to see where you are at with respect to lubrication. What a great night. Congrats on the great runs!

This might sound kinda stupid, but I've noticed in other videos and this one that you guys usually have the ac compressor on. Not sure if it'll make a difference in an auto, but my 6spd e92 335xi feels slightly more sluggish and less responsive when the ac is on. Maybe do some dragy times without the ac running to see if any difference? Just food for thought. Anyway awesome videos so far can't wait to see more!

Not silly at all, as the compressor should suck power from the engine. However in all the testing we have done, it makes no difference whether the ac is on or not. It's not noticeable in a 0-100 time. I also believe that most modern cars will automatically cut the compressor when the engine is revved above a certain rpm. So there is a good chance this does that anyway.

@@frankdogg75 255/35-19s which is actually F30 fitment, so slightly taller sidewall than E92. I have boost limiting set to 10psi in first, and it's still unusable as soon as she comes on song it spins up. I've been running boost limit at 22 psi in second and it was ok, i could manage it and get it to drive forwards really well on the street, but at the track, not sure if was the extra cold air or what, she would spin very easily at 22psi.

Yes in manual mode and tc off. It's near impossible to hear the engine in the 335, but yes huge traction issues on some of the runs.

Well in the 1000+ 0-100 tests we have done with actual timing gear generally it make's no difference on modern cars. Anything post 2000 manufacture date will generally turn the ac compressor off when the engine load goes past a certain point. Manufacturers do this for both efficiency and to save over spinning the ac compressor.

@@TCGTV98 There are so many variables you must remember when asking for boost equals what power. However to paint a better picture for you. At 26psi, port injection with 500cc injectors, e65 fuel mix, 7 inch high density cooler, straight through twin 2.5 inch exhaust the car made 625whp on a dyno dynamic load based hub dyno (very accurate dyno). That would be kissing 700whp on an inertia dyno. The 17ts can make good power, however these dont hold boost properly any more and do seem to blow a little smoke. The other negative to running them this hard is it stresses these motors a lot more than a single. The small housings cause pressure build up between the turbo and cylinder which helps makes this very hot inside the motor. Larger twins with a better housing or a single turbo will make the same power on less boost and less stress to the motor.

My fbo stuff are DCI, 7.5” FMIC, upgraded inlets, charge pipe, 17Ts, 2 step colder plugs (from your site), 3.5 bar tmap (your site) all on 98 fuel. Just need a proper tune on hybrids. One more question, how much time does xhp stg 3 took for you guys to install for first time? Any idea?

​@@TCGTV98 You wont be making much power on a OTS map on hybrids, dispite what some parts of the internet lead you to believe. Try and get on to a custom tune asap. The OTS maps duty cycle is so far out of whack for a hyrbid turbo you will be confusing the DME continually. Best thing you can do is get the car on e85 with a decent port injected fuel system. It's the only thing that opens them up to decent power levels. Anyway, xHP with a cheap kcan cable took me about 40 mins back in 2019. However it will be much quicker with the MHD wifi dongle. If you have a safe place to do so, logging your power mods with a dragy 100-200 times is a great way to make sure you car is actually working properly.

@@johnnypenhale5743 At this point in time we dont know. Its in storage at the moment. It develped a coolant leak this year from inside the v of the engine. Which is a pretty big job to sort out. It also needs injector upgrade, re tune, that mixed in with no where to actually live and work from means its probabaly not going to be sorted this year.

@@doubledee74 Not a bad idea. The miltek exhaust is a joke. You can not hear the 335i at all from inside the car, when out on track.

Zero To 60 we’ll just a suggestion, Im going to be welding in exhaust cutouts on my 335i soon. I guess it might be time to get your exhaust modified with cutouts or another exhaust system 🤷🏽‍♂️
