Twisted Tuning. Dct I beat an RS3 and an R35 in the first 2 rounds of knockout, was pretty happy.

Interested in your set up..I have e88 n55 dct..forged engine, fbo, m4 flywheel, lsd, xhp pump has only. etc..local tuner simply tuning can't get tune right on high boost and post shifts..splutter/missfire and limp..I am frustrated as hell as I spent a lot of money with him to sort and he gave up. do you have any thoughts, experiences with this? also what was the experience like with twisted? cheers Mark

It was a great night of racing had by you guys. My night wasn't so good beaten in every race with my car running extra hot. For the next roll racing in a couple of weeks, I will be back on 100% E85 and see if that makes any difference. Another great entertaining video.

From my experience the E85 was a massive factor in getting performance from these engines. Well with the twins anyway. I think you will quickly be up similar to my pace with the e85.

I find a lot of DCT's shift if you hit limiter or in some cases if you manage to over rev they basically hit neutral for a moment and then select what they feel to be an appropriate gear. I've had this on VW's in the past - wouldn't surprise me if BMW's DCT is the same.

nice night racing guys andrew how thick are your rear axles i have been pulling apart this 335i e92 m sport and its got some goodies on it 3/12 inch single system the diff looks rather large than the stock 335i diff and the rear axles are quite beefy like 40mm thick and best of all fully loaded options except heat seats.2 days work just to pull the body harness out what a nightmare lol

A jump makes a giant difference, you need alot more hp to overcome a jump like that (albiet the jump was an accident) The video is at the end if you dont believe it 👍🏼

There are many things that come in to play. 550hp is achievable with the right turbo and right fuel set up.

Why do N54's do that massive power cut when hitting limiter? Is there a way to turn that off?

I think you’d have to get a custom trans tune to avoid hitting the limiter

Whats your solution guys when i had a different tuner it used to bounce off the limiter (xhp flash aswell) no hard cut but the tune was causing all sorts of issues and was hitting torque limits so i went with a different tuner fixed the issues ironed out the torque limits and now i get that hard cut in limiter aswell really stops the car hard both times i had xhp tried to adjust xhp but no difference let me know what you think and resolution on the logs i get the 2048 on the shifts when hitting the limiter tuner said tick the option in mhd for the manual shift bog i asked mhd aswell they said it wont cause any issues but i never done it just incase 👌🏼

Direct injection is better for lots of performance reasons. It would be a shame to remove better technology. Adding some port injectors if fuelling is required is the best of both worlds. Also cleans the back of the valves :)

@@MrTroytroy yeah I run a dual setup like Most. I’m talking about in the case of leaky injector, for new guys to replace them it’s 2.7k now. Was curious about if there is tech to run full e85 with straight port injection (remove the faulty injectors and get a power boost while they are at it)

There was a discussion about this on one of the forums that quickly turned into a shit show, I think the conclusion was that it is possible but you have to be running a full standalone ecu.

You need to go to stand alone ecu to delete di. Some people have done it and it’s on my mind too. I don’t believe there is any performance gain from DI in fact in an aftermarket scenario it’s is nothing but an bad thing. Di is for efficiency and meeting pollution targets.

I will add and hats off to tony at vtt. I went to buy it and he told me it wasn’t as good as they intended and instead of taking my money and me getting a turbo that maxes out at 460 whp he told me to wait for his new release for the n55. He got mad respect from me for that, would have taken my money and ran.
