BMW 530d / E39 / Valve Cover Gasket Replacement DIY

The rocker cover gasket was leaking on this M57 engine, so I replaced it...

what year is the e39 530d? according to the catalog it shows 2.0mm washers 293.140 :) maybe there is a valve cover screw tightening diagram?;))

This car’s 2002 year. The proper sequence for tightening bolts is to start at the middle and spiral out.

My car is 2003 and i buy 2.0 mm… according to the bmw catalog. I haven't changed anything yet, that's why I'm asking...:)

Porque guardas los inyectores sumergidos en gasoil? Entiendo que para que no se estropeen por estar al aire o se resequen ?

Se ponen así como prevención, de lo contrario podría cristalizarse el gasoil que llevan dentro al sacarlos de la cámara de combustión y dar problemas cuando se instalen nuevamente. También hay que numerarlos para instalarlos en la misma posición que iban, o tocaría reprogramar si los cambias de posición.

Al mio poco le queda de e39, rampa y toberas de 30d 204cv, bomba de altas de x6m50d, prebomba de 280lph, escape custom con valvulas…. Y un largo etc

@DK-421 For my 530D auto is around 35 mpg for a manual you "should" get up to about 40. This will of course depend on the town/motorway split.

@@TheultimateDIYmachine una preginta que no tiene que ver con el video, no se si alguna vez has cambiado la prebomba de combustible del 30d, la he cambiado por la pierburg 7.50051.60.0 y hace un ruido que no veas… es normal?

@alejandrogarciadulgheriu1667 Nunca la he tenido que cambiar, no te puedo aconsejar al respecto, lo siento. Tengo problemas con el indicador del nivel del gasoil, pero imagino que será problema del aforador, aunque tengo que investigarlo.
