BMW AC FAN BLOWER MOTOR REPAIR - NO NEED TO REPLACE THE BLOWER MOTOR !!!

In this video I have explained how to remove the carbon brush from the blower motor and replace it, if your car is 5 years or more there is a chance of AC to stop blow all of a sudden due to the Carbon brush being worn out.

Dude,Thank You! Yours is a different type than mine. But seriously,THANK YOU for being the first disassembly video ive found after searching for a good 30 mins. Ive been trying get my suburbans blower apart but I'm not too sure how to open the hard metal casing on the bottom to access the motor or even get the fan off for that matter. Mine works properly but i think i bought a flooded truck so the bearings need to be lubricated somehow.

My F10 fan has a problem. When I turn the largest fan, the fan will run about 20 second and then stop. I need to turn off the fan , wait about 3 minutes and the fan will running again. I already changed the resistor but didn't fix. Do you have any suggestion? Thanks.

As in my video change the carbon brush. When the fan gets heated up the contact to the armature coil will be getting disconnected. Rip it apart. U might be able to get a burnt smell too I guess

The rear blower is somewhere below the hand rest. I did not open it yet .

I tried other ways and it was a failure. Air getting in. Immersing completely is the only effective way that I found

@@evgasrx if it's not air free the compression will not happen properly. Air can be compressed easily

@@evgasrx when I tried o-ring it started leaking after a day. May be quality issue, but I felt like x-ring can seal more area than an o-ring. Be careful when you take the spring like pistons out there is more chance of damaging it while taking it out by pulling

I have this same ac motor. My problem is that it can hardly SPIN. Any ideas on that sir?

Probably the carbon brushes have worn out. You can connect the fan directly to the battery using a wire bypassing the fan resistor to make sure the problem is with the fan. It's brush motor so it doesn't matter if you connect -ve to +ve or vise versa

When I start it at the first scale it works. But if I increase the power to make it turn faster the second the third or the last scale it does not increase the turn speed

@@user-fn2uo5cw4r 100% the carbon brush of the blower fan motor has worn out. Change the carbon brush or motor your choice.

Check in motor winding shop. I got from alternator n dynamo parts shop, not the exact size, a bit bigger and I had grinded it to required size
