use a small flat screw driver to give yourself more leverage to push off the rubber hose. start on one side and work your way around till it comes off

Be aware that the DPF may plug if you have lots of soot buildup that this stuff will turn into liquid goo. This cleaner may cause more expensive problems than you had before. These "quick and dirty" DPF cleaning procedures appear technical sound, but they are not. More often than not they cause more problems than they solve. If you love your BMW, run away from this type of cleaning. Do yourself a favor and change your oil more frequently, and use only full synthetic. This will reduce the amount of oil that contaminates your DPF. And use a good (not Walmart) diesel fuel system cleaner a few times a year. Techron sells one. So does Ford. BG 44K or BG 245 are also highly rated. Fuel System Cleaners are one way to keep the DPF free of excess soot.

Short runs driving it's slow low 20 mile an hour speed limit is the problem to cool tho and change your DIESEL glow plugs a reason why ,,, BAM

James Latimer exactly what I have been told form a friend who works at bmw service Center . He advises the vehicle to be driven once a week on the highway at a higher rpm higher speed etc will prevent the PDF from blocking and getting dirty .. correct me if I’m worng also here on Australia we have a high end premium petrol fuel which helps clean all the rubbish from the diesel

DPF stands for Diesel Particulate Filter so yes only diesel cars
