Hey what exhaust manifold are you running and where did you get the flipped intake from with throttle on other side? Nice build tho man looks really clean!

Hi, mate. I'm running a TCD manifold. The flipped TB with expanded plenum was made by Steve (the beardy bloke in the videos). You can see how it was made in Part 1.

Thanks, mate. Anything around 400 and I'm happy. We'll find the point at where the turbo is most efficient and peg it there.

Hi, mate. It was an ebay generic 3" inlet and outlet. I believe it is what is restricting the power I am making at the moment (430bhp/460lbft). If I could give advice it would be to buy a quality brand with well-designed innards as the dimensions are not the whole story.

You live in the house of my dreams. Wonderul projects!! Re. the e39 V8 fluid-filled mounts, don't they tend to be problematic (short lived)? I've been contemplating whether to do this turbo M30 conversion or an M62B44NV swap (using e53 headers) on my 87 635CSi'. I keep going back and forth. Which do you think is easier? I already have a an M62 and Getrag 420, the latter I gather may prove a challenge to fit into the confines of the e24 trans tunnel. Any truth to that? Btw...I've done many conversions (Alfa transaxles, etc.). Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, buddy! Anything is possible as you probably know! The m30 turbo is the easiest route i would say. I am not sure of the dimensions with regards to the 420g, it is a big box though. I have seen v8 e24's so it can be done! I would say its worth the extra effort to go v8 if you build the engine first, similar to what Steve has done (his e36 v8 is on my channel too). He has run v8 fluid mounts on his 400bhp e36 for over 6 years..

Depending on which parts you use and what you replace, around £4-7k

Too much! Seriously though, the car was rotten. Has had a lot of welding - floor, roof, inner wings, boot, rear.. Anyway, I paid £4500 without knowing it needed the work.
