BMW E28: Spark plugs and wires, drive belts, distributor cap & rotor, coolant temperature sensor

The only thing I trusted would actually work were the spark plugs lol. Luckily it seems like everything works and car is better now.
Now onto the biggest project thus far... front suspension refresh! I've done it before, so I'm not looking forward to all the work, but I am excited about how much better the car will feel after.

def tighten that large screw/nut on the steering column. I'm surprised you do not feel a loose/vague steering from it. It needs to be super tight and it tightens counter-clockwise. I used a pipe wrench to tighten....channel locks won't be enough. It should be a significant difference in steering

@@aesmilla ooo it seems like it’s slightly better/more tight. However it’s not too noticeable, but I’m pretty sure it’s because all the front suspension components are completely worn out. But still, thanks for letting me know!

What size hex bit does the distributor rotor use?

I’m not too sure but it’s definitely going to be in a normal kit you buy with hex bits

@@b.ba.bakana Actually, I just now learned that it uses a 3mm hex bit socket for a 1/4" ratchet, I'm writing it right here just so anybody else who has a 5-series would know in the future.

Hey there! I have a 1982 BMW 520i and I'm having an issue where the engine cranks over, I'm getting fuel to the injectors but there is no spark to the plugs or even the spark plug boots. Would you know why that is? Thank you!

Check if the distributer, distributor cap and rotor are good. Other things you can check are the fuses since they can be pretty finicky. Maybe check if it’s grounded well and not covered in rust? From there you’d just have to go deeper and deeper. Good luck!
