I found tdi tuning chip very good on my vw passat, plugs into wiring harness 5 minute job. On this particular car made a big difference

@lesprudence374 chip tuning a turbo EFI engine is way easier and effective than a NA MFI engine 👍

Lol, the joys of dealing with dodgy performance chips from vendors who long ago took the money and ran. There was a similar one here in Australia going back 15 years with a company called Powerchip. The owner of the company managed to piss off a large online forum with his dodgy practices. Some of the forum members subsequently found his home address and blocked his front door with a truck gearbox. 🤣🤣🤣

There is a fully kitted dyno (rolling road) near you. Well in ceredigion anyway its Evans remapping services in pontrhydygroes!!!!!

I bought the war chip with the maf upgrade years and years ago. Getting someone at Miller to answer a phone or respond to an email was seemingly impossible. They shouldn't even be selling their products anymore with their level of support.

I've literally used thousands of those solder joints, very few issues, all caused by me 😂 That's one sweet E30 😎👍

You are using their maf I see. Do they have parameters for changing MAF scaling? I have a miller warchip setup on my m60 supercharged car, but I can't get a higher flow porsche 803 MAF to work. Wondering if I have to abandon the swap and stick the stock MAF back in

I bought some of the heat shrink ready solder joints. I used a couple and binned the rest as they didn't seem that reliable as a couple failed to join properly. I much prefer a soldered joint with proper heat shrink. Could be the quality of the ones I bought but it didn't seem much of a time saving and they look rubbish so I didn't bother buying any more.

I’ve got some that I bought from Amazon last year. They’re ok, but if find you have to pretty well set them alight to really get the solder to meld…

Blimey, I really don't envy you tuning this without a dyno! O2 sensors or some form of mixture sensing is vital. As is good documentation. And since the vendors seem to have done a flit, I can't imagine there is a lot of info about the internal workings. Ouch.

The whole point of this system was to have virtual support from Miller. You'd tell them what you were running and they'd make you a map. Turns out it was all lies!

Those miller chips are ancient, I think you need to find a copy of windows 98 to program the moddable ones.

We needed to find an old XP based machine! Could't run it on a virtual machine so that was another headache. They are indeed ancient tech.
