I show how to fully disassemble the DME and clean it without damaging it. My DME is damaged beyond repair but cleaning it didn't result in any positive changes to my knowledge. When I reinstalled it the car acted the same (no spark or fuel but cranked). I did confirm the DME was the issue because a new unit fixed the problem.
