I am NOT a Welder,, (I was a "Toolman" in my younger days) but I believe Flux Core Wire is for welding outside NO shield gas needed,,, It does leave residue and splatter... but the weld is consistent,,, and by the way,,, Good job on the bad ass cable to plug your welder into the dryer outlet,,,, IT matters,,,

Nice video ! Quick question, I'm going to be doing this same thing probably next weekend, did you let the weld thru primer dry before installing the plates? I watched another video and it looks like he sprayed and installed right away. Thank you !

You need to let it dry but that shit dries super quick, like 3 minutes and it's dry to touch.
