Dude, THANK YOU! I've watched a few videos of replacing the CPS in the e39 m5, but they hardly EVER distinguish which one is intake and which is exhaust. I've been spending two days trying to replace my sensor only to realize I've been working on the INLET sensor (which is not throwing a code) rather than the exhaust, which I had no idea was sitting right below it until I saw this video where you point it out. Your videos are SO INCREDIBLY helpful! Thank you!!

@@WestinghouseProductions of course, man! I kept hearing you say "that'll get you home" in my head when times got tough. All sorted now! Well, AFTER I did Vanos seals and reflowed the solder connections.

Why did you change? Does it run bad or why? I have a e39 m5 that get alot fault codes on the engine and i suspect the camshaft sensors or the crank sensor..

Couple of hours. Hardest part was moving the metal wiring loom brackets. Use a small mirror to get a good view of the back. It’s also much easier if you remove the plenum cover and base too.

Excellent video thank you. I'm getting a code, camshaft position sensor B, bank 1. Code P0365. I think that's the passenger side (US), exhaust sensor. Is that correct? TIA.

b21playa yes! With BMW, stick to the OEM sensors always. Don’t mix, don’t get aftermarket..... you’ll end up doing the job twice. Almost always

Hi Paul. How are the Delphi sensors holding out? I need to replace all of mine, wondering if I just need to bite the bullet and get them from BMW or go for the cheaper Delphi ones.

Hi Alex, I’d just plump for OEM BMW ones if I did the job again. Didn’t have an issue with the Delphi offering, but the quality of aftermarket parts has recently gone downhill.
