Great Vid, I must do this - seal 169 710 is NLA - So Ive ordered another ending with 245 551

Cheers - I know that BMW go NLA on part numbers if a slightly improved version is available (Sunroof gasket being one that has been superceded at least 4 times now!).

N 540 Afraid not, I’ve not worked on an E34 in about 10 years. I imagine the principle is the same though as the glazing on that chassis is bonded too.

Did you use any glue or something else than water with soap? Very beatiful e39

No, the OEM seals will stick on their own with just water to activate the adhesive.

It comes with the adhesive already in with the seal, just lubricate as per the video and then once it has dried, the glue bonds.
