BMW E90 Window Regulator Repair

OMW, i feel like such a fool. I did the entire thing in reverse. Looped the cables around the green circle thing first then struggled to get the 2 springs compressed enough to fit. Eventually got it done but there was a bit of slack in the cables. I'll take it apart and redo it when i do my door lock fix. Brilliant, thanks.

Brilliant video, I tried quite a few times trying to place the centre plastic bit in while also stopping the cables from popping back off.

Getting the springs in is tricky … I used mole grips on the cable to hold one spring compressed so I could mush the other spring in place.

this took me 2 hours to roll the wires but managed to get it done.

Perfect just don’t know how to get the spindle in the middle out I have e53 but every thing is the same thing except the spindle is tacked down

Should a certain type of lube be used on the track for that clip to slide easily? What type of grease is recommended?

For anything inside the car cabin, I always use silicone lube. It' safer, non toxic and the smell won't bother you in the long run.
