Have you tried to plug and unplug under the shift knob or if any loose wire? Mines still good so far with out any issues.

@simplifyreview2911 in your video I can see that the default indicator light is not working anymore (not the one on the shift knob). I had the same problem and indeed I solved it today by reconnecting a cable that was incorrectly connected

Thanks for the explanation but I would never do this. Just out a carbon sticker on the knob or something instead of messing with the transmission

Hi, i install the same knob, however after installing it is not locking and it can easily comes up with a small push even without pressing the side lock buttom, is this normal?

Press harder. Also, my one can get out with a bit of pressure, so maybe these knobs are all like that

Hi you have a give it a little force and hear the click and it will be set in and should not come off easily.

Hi so I has similar issue it actually not you fault it’s actually the part you ordered there is 2 different model . The first knob is just a dummy and no light on shifter just on trim. And just makes shifter look fancy no light up. The Second model type it lights up on shifter and no light on trim . So please check your model you ordered and the manual specification. I had same issue so I returned the first one I got and ordered from a different Selller.

Does the OEM version of this shifter work or do you need to go aftermarket?

Hi it’s the same one as the E60 will for both that’s what it was said on the Manuel just have to sue the color wiring by the instruction Manuel.
