BMW F01 - How to remove bad smell from AC Evaporator Quickly

AC Evaporator disinfection in a few easy steps using cleaning foam.

yeah , all F series have very very similar configs when it comes to AC and air in the cabin.

@@GigiBeleaDK thank you for the instructions. I followed these instructions on my F10 and it worked. The only thing I did differently is that I did it from both sides. I also removed the driver side panel under the steering wheel and there is a somewhat similar drain tube there (there's no air filter of course). So I emptied 1/3 of the can into the driver side drain to cover the evaporator from the left side with foam, then 1/3 through the drain on the passenger side and 1/3 through the large openings of the air filters to cover the evaporator's right side.

Did it work? Mines is producing a vinegar smell when I first turn it on, but it clears up after about 5 seconds. I guess this is common with the F10?

Frecție la picior de lemn. Am încercat ambele metode, singura metodă ok este cu un umidificator și o soluție gen bionet A15 care să fie trasă pe recirculare și distruge tot ce e pe evaporator. Cu spumă din asta pentru o perioadă e ok, dar dup-aia incepe iar să pută a ciorapi murdari.

O sa vedem peste o saptamina 2. Chimia din spuma de la PETEC este pe aproape a celei de la A15 mentionat.

@@GigiBeleaDK Sper să meargă. Eu am folosit Liqui Moly și o cameră endoscop pe USB să văd exact unde dau dar a fost degeaba.

The hole is closed and it’s can’t I insert the tube in there at all. It only goes as far as 1”

hmmm , then unclog it :) keep at it. This is one of the reasons you have the bad smell , water condensation can not get out and will stay there causing bacteria growth.

I can’t see where you’re talking about putting the foam on the inside. Are you just spraying it all over in there???

Yes, just empty the can inside the housing of the heat exchange radiator.

pretty good , no more smell since I have done this.
