M3 taxi is €90 per seat for a lap. That is amazing value for money and having gone for a lap in that car last year - it is worth every single cent. Can't wait to come back in 2019.

Recently stayed at the Apex nurburg hotel for a few nights and got a sneek peak of the maintenance operation and definitely blown away by the staff. The in house mechanic was always working on something and was very proud of the quality of work they do to maintain their fleet.

Thanks for the interesting breakdown of how this taxi proposition breaks down. It speaks well to the rationale that a halo type product can run a positive net return aside from the more personally motivated investment. I presume you get your higher margins from the more bread and butter products like the Up, Polo, GT86, instructor laps etc. I would be interested to know how you both see the business from a longer term point of view. Clearly you have invested a lot in building it. Is this all from profits aside from start up capital? Or is this something you do just for the passion for now? What are the limits on the potential growth and how will you keep the Apex family feeling to it?

I can't even afford to come there and do it, but from a practicality standpoint I've always seen it as extremely cheap. I've always been grateful that you guys take such huge risks with such a small profit to gain so more ppl can have this once in a lifetime experience. I can definitely confirm these costs. Driving my own 911 on track really wears tires, brakes etc which have Porsche prices. In addition comes services and when something now and then becomes destroyed. And since it is my own car, I drive it to conserve wear as much as possible. No drifting that shreds rear tires at a cost of 600- 800 Euro for a set.

What a great video. !! I know the £/lap in my Golf and people have no idea how much it costs when they jump in for a lap. Fair play for putting the actual numbers out there. Hopefully it`ll make some people understand why the Taxi`s may look expensive per lap but when you take everything into consideration, they aren`t at all. Whilst you only have a relatively small % `return on investment`, as you clearly explain you do all obviously get paid so whilst ROI is small, several people get a wage out of these cars too.

I drove with my own car... scary. But nice for the bucket list. Did a M3 taxi lap a year later...it was great, way way better than driving your own car. Next time i for sure will pick something even more exotic/faster. Experiences like that are unique and can not be had in any other way. If you are a petrol head (with a job) it's a no brainer. Do it!

Paola Sanchez no, fixed cost are yearly. Employees get paid every month:-) and the license we pay for yearly as well.

I did this last week in the m3 Anyone thinking this is expensive is naive Clearly these cars will go through tyres and brakes exceptionally fast!!!!!! The work involved in the original modifications most cost stupid money!!! Now the lap Imho forgetting the justification of costs it's worth EVERY PENNY!!! me and a friend split a lap in the m3 135 euros each What a bargain for such an experience Never would I have thought a car could go so well and grip so hard Seriously savage!!!! Id happily pay 299 alone to passenger the 720s and I'd happily do a taxi run every ring trip Just awesome!!!!!!! 99% of car enthusiasts should understand this

If you guys run 60 laps with a set of pads, what kind of pads are Nurburgring 24h cars runnning? Is there brake pads changes set during those races? I never thought about it really, but curious at how many times do racecars change pads during a 24h race....

One brake pad change for a 24h race is pretty usual. For the winning car at the Nürburgring something between 150 and 160 laps in 24h. Similar endurance pads, but the cars are lighter, have very good brake cooling and depending on the car bigger disks and pads. Continuous driving is probably also better for the brakes. With the taxi they cool down and heat up after every lap. More heat cycles .

You can see Robert really knows his stuff when it comes down to business. I also think it is important to make a breakdown of all the costs involved, to justify the price. All people think about is the fuel, cost of the car, driver and a bit of tyres. Other than that the things that need to get done "at scale" of multiple laps really pumps up the price. Props to you guys for actually doing this!
