BMW F80 M3 CS Review. After spending an entire day behind the wheel of this car it is the BEST Modern M3 that you should own. The cars performance and raw nature are so closely resembling the benchmark of this category the Alfa Romeo Guilia QV. Even the Nurburgring lap times are almost identical between both cars and this emphasizes how good the BMW F80 M3 CS is as a performance machine. The BMW F80 M3 was originally introduced in 2014 as the modern predecessor to the infamous E92 M3 V8 and it came with lots of critical complaints especially the S55 engine. The M world complained how the new car was numb, stiff, had overly heavy steering and a rear suspension that could not put the power down safely without trying to send you into a tree. The S55 engine solved the problems of low end torque that the V8 NA S65 suffered but lost that angry bark the S65 offered at high RPM. The BMW F80 M3 had extensive engineering from the ground up when introduced but they overly engineered the soul and character out of the model. The BMW M3 CS was introduced in late 2017-18 with only 1200 units produced. BMW M retuned the entire chassis, revised the front suspension geometry, fitted a retuned steering rack, added wider and lighter forged wheels in a 19/20 stagger, reprogrammed the E differential and took a bunch of weight out of the car using Carbon Reinforced composites throughout. Great video and review. I like you was exactly in the same situation when the CS came out years ago. I remember watching the review of it on KZbin and reading about it and telling myself I really want one. However just like you mentioned it was 100k and the rarity of it I never thought I could get one. I always used to look them up every year to see if they would event come down or be available. Flash forward to 2023 after years of searching I was able to find my dream car. I found a sapphire black with the carbon ceramics F80 CS and bought it right away. Plus it only had 16k miles on it. I have been loving it every day and when I look in the garage I can’t believe I have one after dreaming about it. Spring is around the corner and I can’t wait to take it out and rip the back roads again!!

Absolutely awesome you were able to find one these cars drive incredible and are so much more fun than the G80 i had one it didn’t excite me one bit even with a 6 speed. I got my eye on a M4 CS and M2 CS these cars are rare and never come up for sale

The CS in this version is by far the best out of the box. Driven 2 on track at Limerock instructing my students and i was blown away by the handling/braking capabilities and lets not forget the power curve!

Fantastic car but personally i prefer the F82 M4CS which I have…. Love it.👌mines running 600bhp & 700 newton metres of torque…… Got a matching M4 comp cab running exactly the same as I had the map taken out of the CS & put into the cab. Both in San Marino blue👌

I owned a 2018 m4 competition and than upgraded to a 2019 limerock grey m4cs and its the best car I have owned. The comp at times felt kind of numb while the cs just feels much more raw. Such a beast of car in every aspect including the looks. Going to keep mines for along as I could one of the best bmw’s ever made imo the m3/m4 cs

The really cool thing about the F80 CS is all the software changes can be applied to any other F80. I’ve almost bought a CS a few times but I just can’t stand the S55.

@@philipparana9225 I’ve driven an F87 M2 (manual) and personally I was far from impressed. Felt exactly like the F22 240i I had also driven. Even the steering modes were the same & it felt like it. Super overhyped car in my opinion. Save your money and get a real M not an M235i with wider fenders.

I think this is one of the best buy’s today. 50-60k depending on miles is great value for the package offered especially with carbon ceramics. I’d love to get my hands on a San Marino blue M4cs

F80 M3CS is a rare car by all standards - single production year, 2018 only, last year of production for the F80 generation, there is literally no better F80 to buy. It's the only F80 generation car that that I know of which came from factory with two-tone seats (Silverstone/Black), you couldn't spec the CS interior on any other M-car. Only 1200 produced for the planet, of which only 607 were imported to the USA. Of them, I believe the colors numbered as follows (7 unaccounted for at this time): SMB - 207 AW3 - 124 BSM - 118 LRG - 80 FDBII - 71

Always loved that car. Especially in the frozen blue. How much is your friend selling it for? 3 annoying things about it is that in their effort to save on weight, the car doesn’t have keyless entry, meaning you need to press the unlock button to open, and can’t just open it without touching the key, it has no arm rest, and the steering wheel is a little too thick. Minor stuff that you can live with of course.

Dealing with no comfort access every day, I definitely have to agree with you. The thing that bothers me even more about my CS is the lack of adaptive cruise control. I'd really love to have that at times.

M3 CS is the way to go over the M4 CS as it comes with extended leather + alcantara, regular climate control and no fabric material door panels like the M4 CS If you want a fully leather and rare F82 manual/dct, Heritage Edition is what you should be looking for my .02

M3 CS has full leather, they both have full leather. I would be pissed if I paid $100k for an M3 and had the cheap plastic from extended leather. I’ve sat in both and I prefer the M4 CS interior, I like the carbon structure door cards & I hate the white inserts in the M3 seats.

@imvati F82 CS is great too but it's not as limited as the F80 or F87 CS. F82 CS was made for a couple of years from what I learnt. F80 CS was final year of production.

After watching this video, I’m thinking I just need to go back to another F80. It had such a dual personality. So what would you pick? The F80, G80 or CT5V bw as your sole vehicle.

F80 CS or a CT5V Blackwing i did not love the G80 for many reasons too much tech and I still dislike the looks up front, great car but not one i would have kept longer than I did.

I don't believe the F80 CS came out in 2019. The F82 CS may have made it 2020 but the F80 M3 CS was only out for one year.

Honestly i was just in the market for an old m4 cs or a new g82. I was leaning towards the m4 cs until i went to the dealership and saw the new m4 g82 in person. Trust me dude. Pictures do not do them justice. The grille makes it look super aggressive and its wide and mean asf looking. They truly make the old ones look super dated.
