Very informative and detailed video. Would recommend to clean the dpf sensor too as you cleaned the maf & map sensor?
@bmwsolutions78802 жыл бұрын
Thanks 👍 I remember cleaning a few sensors on dpf but not worth really as they don't get affected by dirt due to high temperatures. Feel free to have a go by all means but you will need some special tools for oxygen sensor. All the best ✌️

good video aaron, always good information for beginner. Keep good work. For bmw approved oil, they mean that they will not use systematically the bmw genuine oil, most of the time they use the castrol in there garage, with the bmw norme (ll-04 or ll-12 now)
@bmwsolutions78803 жыл бұрын
Hi Albert, appreciate to your comments as always🤠 That's what drives me crazy, you pay the top price but still not getting original oil in bmw garage. It is a complete scam and fiasco. And they make it look like you're getting the best service and parts💩
@albertz.93323 жыл бұрын
I rarely use the genuine oil on my car (except if she still on guaranty) after, I directly switch to real oil company like castrol or motul (on my bmw I use motul specific 0w30 ll-12)

@@albertz.9332 ll12 is better I think for mpg right?
@albertz.93323 жыл бұрын
@@piovo1 not really, the mpg will vary depending on how you drive, the oil impact on that is insignificant. The oil will impact the soot and the ash that you will get on your dpf for exemple, the life of your turbo and the egr ... and all the mechanical part on friction (chain, pomp, ..)

I can service a car on my own.. but i dont.. why you ask? because im not a mechanic. Most car problems can be sorted out before they happen if spotted by a trained eye.. which is why i always take it to get serviced at a dealer. costs way more but alteast you are being made aware of issues that are likely to pop up or have.

Hi - Brilliant video, im a fan defo! I have a 2016 330e (hybrid) which has done around 82k miles. In your opinion what type of service would i need to undertake. (The Car is good nick and everything is ok since i bought it 7 months ago) Many Thanks
@bmwsolutions78802 жыл бұрын
Hi, you're very welcome and thanks for your comments 🤌 It's a nice car you have and milage is very good, so if you look after it well, it will last for a long time. I can suggest that you check the service history and see what was done in the car before you. Then you can do a good inspection all around (lots of videos on how to do that on KZbin). Finally, I strongly advise you get a diagnostics tool such as Bluetooth adaptor or ista + on a laptop. You can therefore keep an eye on everything on your car. In terms of servicing, I already mentioned in the video that I carry out exact same service every summer regardless of my milage (avarage 6000-8000). So, that's why my car is in very good condition all around. Let me know if you have any further questions. All the best ✌️

Is the car on ramps to get to the sump plug or did you jack it up….release sump plug then drop it down again to drain?

Hi, bmw centre of my country has always used 0w30 oil in my bmw 320 b47 until 90000 kilometres. In your video I have seen that you use 5w30. 5w30 is more cheap than 0w30. Can I use 5w30 or 5w40? Are they indicate for the engine and DPF? I live in the center of Italy.
@bmwsolutions7880 Жыл бұрын
In reality, Italy 🇮🇹 is a warm country, so they shouldn't use 0w30 because it's too thin like water and used in cold countrieslike Canada or Northern Europe. Ideal grade/viscosity would be 5w30 for your country's weather conditions. Have a look at the link for more info 👍 www.buygreatoil.com/oil-viscosity-explained/

Mine is 316d euro 6 engine from 2015, i find quiet strange and wanna know how to prevent this? thats also why i buy the oil filter at local dealer then rather online

@@bmwsolutions7880 they are asking 469 Euro for oil and filters. They are charging like 210 Euro for the oil only. I have found their oil for 100 Euro. Filters, if I go Bosch, are like 130 Euro max. So material is twice cheaper. I guess from start of the war they can ask what ever they want. Like last year gas and electricity was 130 Euro per month. Now they are charging me 379 Euro per month. Still government is saying we have had only 9.9 percent inflation. All pure bullshit.

3 minutes into the video and you mess it up, you DON'T put the oil filer on the cap first, you insert it into the housing first and after that you put the cap. You might got lucky but you risking the brake that little nip on the oil filter.
