BMW increased battery discharge warning problems 328i 335i 435i 550i 640i 650i 740i 750i 760i X5 X6

We are a group of vehicle enthusiasts looking for Car meets, car shows, drag racing, roll racing, New cars, etc,..
the increase battery discharge warning is a protection mode every BMW has to protect the battery and leave enough power to start tehe engine but in many cases the battery still fine but it is not to maintain all the components on. this problem affect all BMW with Idrive from 2002 and up.

I had that problem after parking my car (750i) for four weeks. Putting a smart charger on it overnight fixed it and the warning has not been on since.

When I leave town for more than 4 days I put my 550 on a either a battery tender (motorcycle) or BMW smart charger and it's been happy with that ever since.

Hi sir I have BMW 730 2013 model I change Battery then so many alternator I will change but still have BMW problems when start car every think working alternator giving the charging after one hour the r sowing Battery not charging but engine on inside system of starting lock ac not working I don't what problems please can you help what I need to change

Checking with voltmeter, it shows 12.5 off and 14.5 running. Message appears once in a while still. Also, when replacing battery..does it need to be registered or coded?

Leave the engine off overnight, next day in the morning switch the ignition on (do not start the engine) meanwhile the ignition is on read the voltage (it has to be higher that 12.1 v) if the ignition switches off, switch it back on without starting the engine until get the proper reading. Let me know the results.

I did this last December, you don't 'have' to. BMW recommends you do so to extend the life of the battery. I coded mine for $40, good piece of mind.

@@redfibe5886 Mine is the same. That is the lower end voltage of a good battery. Gonna have to get a new one soon.

I have 2009 BMW this message came on One night my glove box was open all night in this message was on. Now it's been coming on for the last 3 days. My battery is only about 6 months old. Any suggestions? However, my valve cover gaskets in the front are leaking

@@bamamoon949 That's funny. You should ask me that somebody hit my car Saturday. It's in the tow yard right now, but the BMW when it does that you can drive it naturally for a couple hours in in the light will go away the the battery charges itself

Shipped my 14 428i from us to south korea. Got the battery discharge warning when i picked up at port. Hit ok then control display shut off. Checked car it keeps placing it in transportation mode after reset. Put bew battery in and registered it and still have same issue. Any advice??

@@andreasf5882 yeah, changed the battery out. The car also noticed I moved out of USA so car switched to transportation mode which I had to get turned off at the dealer.

@@andreasf5882 no on the fuseboard... in F01 or f02 its on front passenger side... behind glovebox... not the one in the boot
