I wish I could upload a picture of my stripped k75 I've just deleted the abs (non functional) the bike weighs half of what it did with all the fairing removed, this video has gave me confidence to DIY myself a shiny engine 👋👋

It seems that you have a pretty good shop setup, and presumably a decent compressor. You may want to look in to a DIY vapor honing/blaster for your shop---if you haven't since you made this video. Check out some youtube videos, concise minimal talk. And, you stop when an important development occurs. You make great videos. I have a 86 K100RS and was going to eventually restore to original, but I like the cafe racer better.

I’ve got a k100 I’m planning to strip and restore. Quick question, was there a reason you removed the covers to strip and paint the block and just covered the cams and crank with masking tape? My plan was to leave the case covers on for stripping and repainting the engine block then take them off and do them separately and reattach them. Use the covers as masks. Is that a good idea or is there a reason not to do that?

Hello, I watch your videos on KZbin. I will buy a torque wrench for the K1100lt motorcycle engine. 20-120 N.M Will an adjustable torque wrench be enough or should I buy 25-220?

Danke dir 🙏🏻 Ich wollte beim Block mal was anderes ausprobieren, muss aber gestehen das ich beim nächsten Projekt den Block auch mit Dose lackieren werde, das Ergebnis ist mit Dose einfach feiner 😆 Tape ist ganz normales Lackierer Tape 😎✌🏻

Sehr gut! I am searching the internet for a high gloss heat resistant paint in a can, but with no results... Can you tell me the specific can you used? It would greatly help me in my DIY paint job for my K100 🤘🏻 Gruße aus Holland.

Thank you buddy 🙏🏻🙏🏻 I used a paint which is usually considered as brake caliper paint but it works pretty good for engines too. Next time I will try VHT engine paint I’ve heard it works pretty good 😎

You really need to put on a mask when painting parts man ;)

Due to corona I am low on masks at the moment 😂🤷🏻‍♂️ but thanks for the advice 😆 I will order some for the next job 😎🤘🏻

What model of spray paint did you use for the caps and does it keep well? did you use varnish or just paint?

Ich wollte das Ganze mal ausprobieren 😄 beim nächsten mal wird aber wieder die spray Dose benutzt, das Ergebnis mit Pinsel ist ok aber doch sehr grob die Farbstruktur wenn alles trocken ist 😅 aber nicht so tragisch, vom Block selber sieht man ja nicht viel später 😎👍🏻
