Another great vid Al, I've only ridden through London once and that was in 1978 .... never again as you say haha, some great wee villages / towns and I agree stay off the motorways etc. well done the 'Big Girl' performed admirably .... as did you haha

That was a Grand conclusion to your tour and I'm so pleased you managed to meet the original owner, what a nice guy. I have enjoyed the wee tour immensely, although being a very much an ex Londoner, I did wonder where you were going through town, but as you say the satnav had a few hissy fits. Mate you are brave to ride through London anywhere close to the A5, A40 or A41 is a nightmare so much so, I left London behind 20 years ago to move up to North Lincolnshire what a glareing difference to one's peace of mind! Riding is now a pleasure. What is the average mpg of your LT as my early K1200GT could only manage around 40mpg at sane speeds.

John, I was just following the SatNav. I wouldn't fancy doing it again. The LT is giving 60mpg every time, it's incredible.

60mpg For such a large confortable machine that is fanstastic, BMW machines are generallly very miserly on gas and the older stuff are todays bargains.
