Amazing content, keep up the great work. I just ordered a complete set of Speigler lines and will change them as soon as they arrive.

Nice video, it will help me to do this on my K1200RS. BMW fan and a Birthday Massacre fan. Way to go.

I wanted to just to pass this tip off. Flush the brake system real good so there is no air at all. What I found is that a little air was left in my brakes line in the ABS system and on the freeway the ABS went off and forced me to stop very fast. The brakes locked for a few mins and once I let some fluid out the brake let go and I was able to return home with the bike. So if your brake is a little soft, you better re-flush them brake lines again. I hope this never happen to you. So recheck your work and be safe .

Chuck, where are you getting the 90 degrees fitting from? Look like they are easier to use. Thanks and the videos coming.

Excuse me, all k1200lt bikes before 2004 hasn't servo motor inside their brake systems and has ABS module without integraton?

Just a suggestion, not to pry on the caliper pistons as you did (with a screw driver or paint scraper, etc.); the prying will cause the Pistons to retract unevenly (side-ways) and possibly get stuck (to do it right, remove the caliper then press the piston back as if you are fitting new brake pads - an extra 10 minutes work will avoid a lot of issues). Also, consider using plastic tool (I use those plastic trim removal tools for cars from Harbor Freight $7 a set) to pry on those rubber pieces in case of slip then damage them... Thanks for the time and making the video! Good luck with your club.

Do yourself a favor, replace the stock bleeders with speed bleeders it'll take half as much time.
@TrevorGallipeau Жыл бұрын
where do you get the speed bleeders?

Is the air getting sucked in through the threads of the bleeder screw or through the rubber-to-bleeder seal? I guess I can experiment with some grease like you said to figure it out.

Wow! a 22 minute video that could have been done in five to six minutes.
@kirksmotorrad4 жыл бұрын
Yeah but can you do a full flush in 5-6 minutes? I think not!
@elkscout14 жыл бұрын
@@kirksmotorrad you didn't do a full flush. you flushed only the front brakes in your video. I'm not saying the procedure can necessarily be done that quickly, especially with your technique, but explaining the procedure can be done that quickly. Man, corona virus must have gotten to you.

@@elkscout1 You're right! WTH.... All I can say is it was one of my first videos I put out. I have covered it many times though in other later videos including a live install of new brake lines. Thanks for bringing this to my attention! If you want I will send you a free shop poster!
