My 2020 R1 shows a temp that is way off from what it actually is. Is this also hurting power on my bike?
@heero35783 жыл бұрын
yes, because it's reading the temp from the airbox instead of what the temp is outside!

@@heero3578 can changing the IAT sensor location to a cooler place cause the bike to overheat? I mean does it effect when the fans start blowing air throuhg?
@robdridan42403 жыл бұрын
Flaps can be programmed to be open all the time. IAT deosnt adjust mixture in isolation, O2 sensors play a major part and will read lean if not enough fuel. So I'm sceptical of the need for IAT relocation
@heero35783 жыл бұрын
All the iat does is read temperature. relocating it to the nose of the bike will keep the power constant instead of it being cut by the ecu 1nce it reads the temp from the hot ass air box it's plugged into. U don't need to flash the bike for that but that's the way they sell it!

So open the flappers through software to always open.

We can do that, yes

I just ordered the stage 2 kit for my 2021 s1000rr with handheld. Will that software come with the tune for flappers open all the time? Or does it need added? I didn’t see any options. Thanks
@swatboss1 Жыл бұрын
did you get an answer to your question somehow? with stage 1 is it always open?
@baderalorayir52363 жыл бұрын
I already have stage 2 on my bike but I haven’t installed the IAT kit , my concern now is the flapper opens below 6k RPM
@BT_Moto3 жыл бұрын
With the flapper open only, it won’t improve performance or affect the bike negatively from stock. Just leaving performance and rideability on the table is all.

@@swatboss1 won’t cause any overheating. Engine fans are controlled by coolant temp, not IAT.
