he explained before... they go as the hand drops. That means the motion of the hand dropping means start, not when the hands reaches the thigh. It is their way of not having any unfair advantage such as waiting for the green light on a drag strip because that would require a good reaction time. The hand drop is very easily expected, even a child could see the hand drop. Also AWD always go faster off the line than a bike assuming they have about the same whp. More grip more speed. That's why they even did one where they did a roll start. Plus any jump they have the camera man to review it before posting it on the internet, wow, retards.

The naked version of this same bike has done a 9.8 quarter mile on the fastbikes youtube channel so this bike definitely has more to offer than 10.4 the last model of this bike has done 10 seconds dead on this very channel and this bike is faster and lighter than the last model. Being 2.5° doesnt help the bike either.

Can the person doing the start wait a random amount of time before bringing the arms down so it's a more fair race? Mat has memory reaction at this point from doing it so often, guests use their reaction speed as they react when seeing the hands go down which slows them an additional bit always at the launch. They do this in F1 too just before the lights go green.

Remind us of all the drugs used in motorsport? I couldn't work under the trees in 40 degree heat 2 summers ago. They go places 44 while wearing a flame suit, gloves, liner and a helmet. I got home both those hot days and went past an empty building site. I was lucky to be working on a rich persons house with shade. Then they jump out of the car after 2 hours at 180mph? When I get a bad back going for a bacon roll in my girls A5 in Dynamic suspension. You'd have to drag me out of that car if I sat in it naked at 44 degrees. That's without it moving. How are people fooled? And they worry about silly little drag race for fun?

Welcome back Chris! We missed you! A bike can't start as a car does, it has to control the wheeling... anyway that car is insane. Mat started much earlier (did he jump the start?) That bike can do the quarter a mile in about 10 seconds, it means very close to that car. Thanks for the video, Mat!

The bike can do a 9.7s 1/4 and a 2.5s 0-60 but clearly the M1000RR was broken for the entire race, it just didn't sound right and the times for it are relatively slow. You also hear the bikes clutch slipping badly at 5.04.

Infinity designs at minimum matches their quality and is $800 less. Dinan is $1,400 less. I could go on and on about what they charge in parts compared to competitors. Of course they’re a business and have every right to do so and apparently many people buy their products so there’s that. I just have less respect for those that do that. That’s all.

if you've watched motogp vs rimac nevera, you would know motogp launch like crazy, almost side by side with nevera at launch, 320hp hayabusa didn't even stand a chance, let alone h2r, but I'll get more motogp against everything else which I like 😄

Also that’s embarrassing for the bmw m1000rr! I ran 9.5 in the 1/4 stock wheel base Yamaha R1M. BMW bike rider sucks! I would also like that, but I highly doubt that the carwow crowd (especially the EV fanboys) will understand a single thing, so it probably won't happen. Carwow doesn't cater to petrolheads anymore. They aim for the stat-hungry kids who only know to compare figures and are clueless about engineering (I bet most of them don't even have a driving license..).

Even if Matt jumped the start a little, the bike loses in all categories. Because of physics, bikes can't hook a launch without doing a back flip. The car can even carry a passenger, keep you warm, and bring home groceries. Bikes are a solo joy, nobody else around you enjoys them with you.

An average car driver can be better than average rider to hit from the line because it's easier to gain traction in car. While a bike to hit through the first line is harder because the front wheel kept going up. It takes a skilled rider to keep the wheel down. I seen some rider kept front wheel down almost every gear perfectly.

I'm a car guy, and I agree with your comments. But who's heart rate is beating faster? Bikes are more engaging, like comparing a manual cars transmission to auto, the auto is faster and a better daily, but the manual puts the smile on your face

@@Chris-nj1mr I do love a manual gearbox, but on a car. The bike will get your heart beating faster, but that's because you're out in the elements, and in danger, every damned minute. Kinda like being in the airplane sipping a coke versus being strapped to the wing. 😂

That bike needs a full system titanium Arrow Exhaust and dyno tune. Those two changes alone could make this a very different outcome. If you tune it to keep the intake flapper open and go with the sprint racing filter the car doesn't have a chance. All these changes are simple and quite affordable is the best part.
