When I change rotors I always brush off any rust from the hubs then apply anti seize.

I always make sure I have clean hands or gloves on before touching the new parts

We do our best. An occasional smudge should not ruin the brakes.

The mechanic completely does not follow the procedures necessary for the proper servicing of the braking system. He literally has no idea what he is doing. Mistake # 1: he did not unscrew the caliper breather before pressing the old pad, so the old, dirty fluid got into the master cylinder. .error # 2: hub runout not measured. Mistake No. 3: complete failure to clean the hub from corrosion. Mistake # 4: no dust is removed from the brake caliper. Error No. 5 - critical: no measurement of the post-assembly runout of brake discs !!! .I would not have my old mower repaired in this workshop.

Did you have brush or grind pads? Because they are wider than OEM brake pads.... thanks

We did not have any problems fitting the pads to the OEM calipers.

Racing pads usually do not always have provisions for wear sensors. They really are not used as we are in the brakes all the time. We simply tie the harness up out of the way.

@@kennethkozlowski5100 That's odd. All of the pads I buy from Pagid for my cars have provisions for the sensors if the OEM pads had them. I use both RSC1, RSC3 and RSL1 pads. All have provisions fro wear indicators, so does my Endless pads.

I though you’re not supposed to remove the torx bolt instead you should remove the caliper bolt at the back. At least that’s what I did on my comp

@Cars&Stuff I thought the same. I need to swap brake pads soon for a track day and was trying to find videos on how to swap the pads on the front and rear M2 Competitions

@@ecliffg follow everything he did except for the caliper bolts. Two 16mm in the back of caliper torque to 110nm iirc. It was pain in the ass to get torque wrench at the back side though

Poor work done, the connection of the disc to the hub should be cleaned ! Not using new corrosion discs !

Oh noooooo...... but we lived! Yes the hubs need to be clear of any debris that might cause rotor runout.
