I'm just wondering what the warranty is like... Sure, there is a warranty on the lpg-installation and damage related to the lpg installation. In the case of a new car, bmw will void your warranty on the engine. So in the case of engine damage, what happens? Will this be an endless discussion between Prins and BMW (or any car manufacturer)? I'm aware that you make the best lpg systems and that lpg is a wonderfull fuell... The only thing that holds me back for the moment is a potential lack of service due to the conversion. It would be great if this could be clarified. Many thanks in advance.

Thanks for reaching out. As you mention we offer warranty of the LPG-system. We cannot take over the warranty of car manufacturer. Luckily we almost never experience this situation as we believe that our product is well developed and tested.

They all have the b58! All 40i… there are just differences between pre lci and lci (for example the cyl. head with integrated exhaust manifold and another high-pressure pump…)

I've been waiting for "ages" for an LPG company supporting the BMW 6 cylinder DI cars. Finally it seems to be there. But ... is there an "addertje onder het gras"? Downloading the latest Prins-_DI_available_list_lpg pdf shows me that the M240i is supported from of year 2021, the M340i is supported from of year 2019, the M440i from of year 2020. What about the earlier B58B30 engines, for instance the M235i or pre-2020 M240i?

Asked the same question to Prins. I was answered to contact begin of July a dealer of Prins. They have the ability to create a ticket, and most possibly they can resolve this online. In other words; we are close with our "older" B58 engines. I know in what boat you are, as I'm already aiming at LPG for the past half year.

The petrol management is running on direct injection. The LPG system is working the way it best corresponds with the car. Experience has proven it.

Yes great selling point as with direct injection you have to clean the intake valves and it’s hard on the plugs and injectors. With LPG that’s all gone. Oil and exhaust last much longer too

If Prins (or any other LPG systems manufacturer) don't come up with a true reliable LPG system that uses car's original HP fuel pump and injectors of the DI engines, LPG is slowly and surely dying. Systems like VSI-3 are simply not economically viable in a lot of european countries. They are expensive (~2k euros) and in real world consume on average 1-1.5L/100km of petrol and 15-20% more LPG in liters than the original petrol consumption. The total consumptions coupled with high LPG price in some countries, push the break-even distance to more than 100k km if ever. In a clasical MPI system the break -even of VSI-2.0 could be less than 30k km. With VSI-3 break-even might never come. Alot of people complain of lack of true afordable DI LPG and Prins is insisting with VSI systems that is a 20th century solution for 21th century problem.

Hi, on Monday 22 I leave my car in the mechanic for install LPG Prins system. Is an Ateca Cupra 300hp dsg7 from 2020. They told me that they will need 5 days for instal, on Friday the contact me and told me that they have a problem when the car is running using lpg, I was talking to prins Spain and they told me that they already was installing this system in 15 cars like mine and they had 0 problems… the mechanic is telling me that he is waiting for a solution from Prins and he don’t know when my car will be ready…

That's true. You can include this in your calculation and will see that despite this, LPG will be more cost efficient compared to petrol. Depending on how many km you drive and how many years you'll drive in the car.

Always has been a drop in efficiency but as propane has a very high octane rating you can use it on all high end cars using premium gas . Savings come that way as propane is usually half or more less then petrol
