Probably the most useful video I've seen on replacing the RDC module to date. Thanks for that, very helpful 😊 Only criticism, the text boxes you put on screen are very hard to read, even if i pause and zoom in. I will be tackling this pain in the bum job later this week 😭

Thanks for the message Andy. Hope it works out for you. If i get some time later in this week i’ll try a different font and size to see if i can make it clearer. If you can get on an ipad, or monitor it is much better. 👍

Job jobbed! My local BMW had the module on the shelf, bargain at only £56 so I figured today's the day. Not quite as daunting as I first thought, but I do now ache in places I didn't know I had. At 6'3" and more spherical than I would like to admit, the smaller you are, the easier this job will be. I had just got myself into a position only gymnasts normally achieve, no chance of a fast exit, that was when a big fat bast*rd wasp decided to come in the car to see what was going on!! I crawled out head first on hands and knees which a passing neighbour seemed to find amusing 😐 Thanks for the video, I'm not sure I would have attempted this without your help Cheers, I owe you a pint 👌🏻

How would you be able to know whether the issue is with the monitors on one of the tires or the rdc monitor ?

I had to change the sos battery, after changing that I cannot reset the rdc anymore it get stuck at 49%, it is a bmw x3 2019...is these error related?

I’ve got the same issue but on a 2014 420i x-drive, is the module located in the same place?

I’m not sure on the 420i, easiest way to do a very crude check is in the boot. If you can see the two plastic retainers from the RDC module here (7:47 in the video)

yeah I’ll have a look later and I suppose if I can’t see it there I could always call up BMW. Great video though I wish more people went into detail when changing over parts

would you say 2015 F80 m3 RDC module is located in this same area?? I changed 3 tpms sensors and I swear its the module and not the sensors anymore... sighhh

I found this which seems to confirm it’s in the same place f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1785442. Check from inside the boot too, in the video 7:47. You can see the module plastic retainer

Just trying to help others off the back of doing my car. Unfortunately i didn’t have the luxury of a camera man, and there were too many angles to film from one fixed mount. Video was what it was when i edited lots of video into one.
