Great stuff there. Dropped my oil temps at least 20° and takes longer to reach 250°. Gets hard to come by as I live in rural Az.

Great stuff indeed! I’ve noticed a drop in oil temperatures aswell, I’m looking to get an oil cooler to see just how much more the oil temps drop! Arizona heat must be brutal!

@@AuthenticAlexndr it can get really hot out here. Still running the stock cooler. I power hose ut at every car wash I give it just free it up from debri and build up. That helped it alot also.

How did you jack the car up and get the jack stand to be directly under the jack points? Did you jack it from a different location?

Yes I either jack it up from the differential with a rag and piece of 2x4 between the jack and diff or from the front jack point under the subframe

Great job,but you must remove the oil cap then remove the oil filter before draining the oil.

So why do people say that you have do your oil change at bmw dealer which it can be done at home?

If you carry the knowledge and the right tools you’re able to do just about anything. Dealers are there to provide the service but obviously at their own rate.

Yo bro manual says 5w30 on S55 engines. I see that you used 5w40 instead. Have you had any issues? I have a couple mods to my car and wanted to try liqui molly but they only sell 5w40

Heat range on the 5w40 works perfectly within the boundries of the cars specifications and it has ran fine for me

Now that I see this, 5w-40 is thin for the M engines. Should be a 60 weight

I’m from San Francisco so the weather doesn’t really get too hot out here but a higher weight does offer the engine protection in a higher state of temperature
