BMW M54 Dual Vanos Removal & Rebuild

In this episode I rebuild the M54 Dual Vanos unit on My E46 330 Touring due to some bad running issues.

My vanos won't come out and I've been pulling and every bolt has been takin out. I gave up because I don't trust myself breaking anything

@@painful1342 is it just stuck with sealant? If all bolts are removed and the little torque bolts inside then it should just pull off.

VANOS error. Low power and eventually stalling at junctions.

Do you need to reset ADAPTATION after the rebuild? I done mine following your video and many other...but once fitted back the engine idle is all over the place...and then engine stalls. Checked both camshaft Sensors and they working ok. The timing asnt been touched as I only removed the vano assembly and nothing else. Suggestions? Thank you for your time

I didn't need to reset adaptations mate just worked normal after fitting. Any codes?

@@GaragE36uk yes ...p1520, I checked both solenoids to and they seem to work.

Yes if the e60 is fitted with the m54 engine
