oh no, I just changed the thermostat and I am sure of the durability test. It still warms up very slowly, it is only 85 degrees in 30 minutes at idle and drops to 50-50 degrees again while cruising, please help.

If the car has an automatic gearbox, it also has a thermostat for cooling it, it is in the oil filter housing.

@@JHAMS.001-car-repair Thank you, I changed the transmission oil cooler along with its thermostat to the febi brand, but my problem is still not solved. While cruising, it drops from 60 to 65 degrees, rises to 80 degrees, then drops to 65 degrees again 😞 what should I do, please help 😞

@@huseyinsonmez6106 Check when starting, after a few minutes the hoses coming out of the engine heat up with it, it is possible that a new part is defective.

After I changed the thermostat housing gasket, I struggled quite a bit to lign up the termostat with the interior hole. Anyway, the hose coming from the thermostat is cold even after a 20 minute drive, although outside are 3 deg. Celsius. Is this normal? Engine rungs rough ... Should I vent the system better? I have interior heating np, but that cold (ish) thermostat hose makes me wonder if there is something wrong.

@@StickyPlasters Make sure to push a little on the housing in order to start tighten the screws.

@legioner9 managed to do it in the end. You can see from underneath, where the pipe goes, if it's actually in which helped alot.

@@StickyPlasters Nice. What coolant temperature do you have? I mean, my E90 N47 reaches like 98 deg. Celsius when idling, and if cold outside, it drops to like 65 when cruising :D.

@legioner9 before, the needle would bottom out which I think is 50 degrees. Now even while at 70 80 mph it stays at 80 to 90 degrees. Did you manage to seat the thermostat properly? It's the only thing I can think of.

do I need to drain the coolant to replace the thermostat? Thx
